.......but the rewards are worth it.
What is you love but you have to work hard to achieve it?
For me it's butternut squash. I love the sweet taste of a roasted squash but the 15 minute rigmarole to get the bloody skin off means I don't have it as much as I would like! |

Why not cut it in half, roast it in the skin, then scoop it out the same way you would an avocado?? I'm actually going to cook one this afternoon so recipe ideas would be appreciated |

thats how i cook them...plenty of seasoning..maybe paprika, garlic, salt, cinnamon, whichever you like...yum!

That's how I cook them.
Olive oil, freshly ground black pepper and a tiny bit of salt; cook them sideways on and turn at the 10 minute point. 200C 20 minutes total. Crushed whole cloves of garlic can be added.

A Sunday roast. The preparation then rushing to get it all ready for the same time, makes me all overheated and flushed... But the result is definitely worth it. |
