I'm quite partial to jacking my job these days.
I quit 3 last year, the first I gave notice, the second I left with immediate effect, the third I called in new years eve and said I was done.
Currently unemployed and I've got to be honest I'm enjoying it. Hubby probably not so much haha. |

Over 20 years ago I lasted one day in a part time vacation job in the Summer break from Uni. It was in a factory and my colleagues were c**nts so I didn’t bother going back the next day. |

"I started a new job last Tuesday... quit on Friday.
It took just four days to hate it so much I had to jack it in. So that's my record - 4 days. What's your shortest spell of employment?
Emm "
Lol what was you doing?
My shortest employment was turning up to a building site at 7:45am. Got inducted, was then asked to carry bricks up a ladder. I was at home within an hour. |

That's impressive! I actually hated mine within an hour but stuck it for the rest of the week. They tried to get me to stay until the end of the month but it wasn't happening - I was outta there asap |

When I was in my late teens, my mother phoned me to come and pick her up after 35 minutes in an office receptionists job. I arrived and she got into the car. She asked me to go in and get her coat. She warned me that the boss was sitting in the reception area with blood streaming from his face, having been struck with a cup. I can only assume what had happened.
And she is such a gentle soul. |

Half a day when during my induction it became apparent the employers had a very different idea about the package I was getting than i was expecting.
Also emailed an employer on the day I was due to start and told them I wouldn't be starting after researchin the company a little deeper and realising that they were as dodgy as fuck |

Although I did take a new job offer at the end of last year, gave my notice in at my current job, signed all the paperwork for my new job and my old job offered me the same hours as my new one and it was more money per hour sooooo didn’t even start lol.

1 day. Was on the rock n roll. Took a low paid thing to tide me over. Didn't realise they only had 1 days work . I had to re sign on and wait 3 days before I qualified again. So technically I paid to work that 1 day! |

Half a day.
Years ago I did temp work. One Tuesday morning I got an urgent call from my agency, could I work as they had an urgent assignment. It was half term, but my husband who had also taken the week of encouraged me to go.
Went to the assignment and they led me to a desk. An Asian woman was sat there. In front of every one the manager told the woman to pack up her stiff and leave, she wasn't up to the job.
It was embarrassing and the manager took such glee in the women's embarrassment. I phoned the agency to say I wouldn't return and why.
At the end of the day I asked the woman to sign my time sheet. She said she'd sign it on Friday. Told her I wouldn't be there Friday, couldn't work with someone so unprofessional and lacking management skills and common basic decency. |

My shortest wasnt even a single minute...
I was moving to Hereford to be with my then girlfriend, had an interview one day at a local manufacturing plant soon after moving, I didn't hear anything of them untill a phone call the following Monday morning asking where I was???
Apparently I was supposed to start work then but hadn't been informed by any one at all, so since they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery I declined thier offer of work... lol |

That was shockingly bad behaviour on the part of the manager! I'd have done the same as you. |

An hour!
After going through a huge selection process, numerous interviews, recalls.
I turned up for a 'trial shift'
I'd not net the actual manager at any point previously.
He was a 'large jolly' looking chap, who's first comment to me was quite sexist, an hour later I'd had enough of his bigoted attitude & sleazy comments.
I walked out!
I stayed with the company though, got promoted and a year later had the pleasure of sacking him |

I lasted about 3 hours on one (young and thought I had the world in my hands)
My sister was the record holder though. Going back years now and got a part time job in a peanut factory. She walked through the door, gagged from the smell and walked straight back out. I don't think she even lasted 1 minute. |

I quit once before I actually started. Does that count? Agreed to a temp job, but had nightmares about it the night before I was due in (was a job in a slaughter house, my dream was about chickens hanging from their legs and I had to pull their feathers out). Phoned in the morning to let them know I wouldn't be there. They did try to persuade me to still come in and that the job wasn't actually butchering animals, but gave it a miss anyway |

5 minutes.
Got the job, walked in to be shown what I would be doing, and realised they'd changed the job from what I'd applied for, the job I would be doing was mind-numbingly boring and tedious, turned round to the supervisor and said "I'm out"... walked out. |

I've never quit a job in my life until I've had something else to go to in, despite having a few I've grown to hate. I did do a year of agricultural labouring for a staffing agency after I left college though and refused to go back to one pig farm they sent me to after a week there, it was a disgusting place where the livestock were kept in the dark in pens that hadn't been cleaned out in years and there were decomposing pigs with rats crawling all over them outside, grim. |

1 day
I moved to be with a ex and the jobs available were not what I was trained in so I went for all sorts.
One of them was for next, well I’ve never worked somewhere I hated so much. Had to go in 2 hours before my shift to watch a shitty training video. Then I got told that as I was a temp (news to me!) I couldn’t wear the clothes I had as all temps had to wear white shirts. ( I was dressed smart and presentable!) and everyone was so unfriendly. Anyway wasn’t due back in for 3 days, in that time I got another interview and was employed somewhere else and stayed there 4 years! |
