Who suspects they have the strongest accent?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Fabbers come from all corners of the British Isles. But if there were a competition to find the Fabber with the strongest regional accent, could you enter with confidence?
What do you sound like?
(Mild Welsh here. We wouldn't make it past the first heat). |

It's hard to hear our own accents when they are predicated on where we currentl live. I don't think mine is as yokel as most of the people I work with, or my immediate family, for instance. But someone with a totally different accent would probably find mine quite pronounced because their ears aren't attuned to it on a daily basis. |

How very colonialistic of you... It might be stretching it a little to say Mr's strong Aussie accent is distantly regional. |

I've been told numerous times I have no accent and people are often surprised I grew up around Bristol, I'm very glad I don't have a strong Bristolian accent as some of the local variants make me cringe a little.

"Apparently I have an Edinburgh accent. I’ve never really thought so until I did a radio show and listened to a recording of it afterwards. "
That’s something you missed. We had a spate of voice threads where we recorded our voices reading something, making a speech, even some singing and rapping if I remember rightly. Then the recording was put on YouTube. It was brilliant hearing them all |
