I'm all alone at work. Normally my colleague is here and we play "who am I?" if we're bored.
How do you pass time at work? I mean, apart from working obviously. |

"Take a naughty pic and mail it to a fab friend.
Oooooohhhh now that's an idea. I'm more likely to take a stupid pic and send it to a victim though "
Oh if only |

"I clean. A lot.
I did that. I even cleared out my desk drawer "
Well work's really quiet at the minute - and I mean really quiet, this week we've averaged maybe eleven guests for breakfast each day - and I cooked each day which meant getting one lot of everything cooked off for the buffet, and... that's it, aside from washing pots and putting a delivery away. Our Merrychef ovens have never been so clean. |

I used to go through files to thin them down or clean. In my first job I was left alone a lot in a small front office, on a high street. After I had done the files and cleaned I would try to guess what the next person who walked past my window would look like. |

Now why, coming from you, does that sound like a bizarre sexual euphemism? |

I used to work alone and would waste my time reading or taking photos out of the shop window, now I work with a team we waste time wrestling, swinging from scaffolding and generally being childish

Depends on what kind of shift I'm on if it's the usual fri/sat night I converse with people who come into the venue I'm working at but if it's a 12 hour night shift I stick YouTube on |

Personally I've always found it a tad condescending and demeaning to those who have a hard and demandingly endless job for people to moan about being bored at work but there you go! |

I watch TV.
I don’t have much spare time at work but some of the admin shit I have to do is super dull so I have Netflix on at the same time. They gave me two screens so I work on one and watch TV on the other. |

I was 17 at the time and dreaded seeing a gold Mercedes drive past, as I knew it meant one of my bosses business partners would be calling in, who tried to get me to stay at his while his wife and children were away. I couldn't lock the door and hide because he would have told my boss I was out of the office. |

"if you have time to be bord at work then does your boss really need you there?
"
Sometimes you just have to be there. Maybe waiting for a client or customer to walk in. |

During the week I can’t really get away with doing nothing. Weekends it’s a different story with no management in...well kind of they see me as a kind of manager I guess but I’m a lot less productive (well I feel like it, I use my time differently to do admin on computers that I can’t get on during the week). If I do waste time I’m still technically working as I sit and have a chat with my residents, I see it as passing the time but they see it as a social time lol.
