Is starting again today!
All of the chocolate has gone from the house and I am banning bread!
I am doing more than that before the fab nutrition experts jump in lol
I am also going to be doing weight based exercises whilst my poorly foot stops me from running. And swimming. And cycling. |

I stopped eating white carbs, sweets, chocolate and other junk food 10 days ago and eating much healthier. I'm struggling to fit in much more exercise but trying and I've lost 6lbs so far
Good luck and enjoy, I feel so much better for it.

Thanks long way to go but baby steps. I use a helath app on my phone to track what I'm eating, and then use it to reflect on what I need to change, at the moment I'm eating loads of fruit so I think I need to decrease that and increase the veg. |

The one thing that people over look when loosing weight is water.
Keep fully hydrated (I think about 2 litres a day) as a lot of body mass can be just water retention |

That's the other thing I'm trying, the programme I am doing advocates 3ltrs a day, but as I often used to only drink 3 cups of tea a day I'm struggling to drink that much. |

yeah I'm back in the gym after taking a new job that meant Im on the road a lot I've put I a few extra pounds. Give up carbs such as bread, pasta and potatoes and a little more exercise soon makes a difference and you can still sneak a bit of chocolate in too. |

Well done. Good luck in your quest.
I am getting my head back into slimming world mode again. I was doing so well before Christmas and then let the momentum slide a bit.
Back to veggie soups etc for me. Also upped the exercise too. |

Stick with the weights... It's the only way you can shape a body. Sally Moss is the ladies' weights guru ... |

I like running though. I get medals when I run "

Hyponatremia, dilution of the salts/sodium in your blood. Your kidneys can process around a litre an hour average. |

Why though?
"
If you don’t drink enough water, your body stores it (water retention)
Keeping hydrated helps get rid of it. As said above, drinking plenty of water can help you shed quite a bit of weight |

True to a degree, but it's water weight, not anything else. Great to get rid of excess water, but nobody is watering themselves slim. |

drinking too much water can be fatal especially if you're not having enough electrolights.
I would recommend buying a 2 litre bottle and refilling it once a day so you get a maximum of 4 litres of water.
Intermittent fasting is a very easy diet and helps with insulin sensitivity. |

Oh yea don’t get me wrong. It won’t get rid of excess fat. But a lot of people who want to lose weight can lose a few pounds from drinking plenty of water.
Exercise and diet will still be needed for the rest |

I didn’t know that. I hardly drink anything most days and when I do it’s from habit like tea break or drink with my evening meal. I don’t seem to get thirsty. I need to make more of an effort clearly. |

The more you drink the less water your body needs to hold. For example if you hardly drink any water your body will hold.onto lots in your fat cells because it doesnt know when its next lot of fluid will arrive. So if you literally.flood your body it realises it doesnt need to hold any and flushes it out of your fat cells. Once you have a fat cell it can never be gotten rid of it can only be shrunk its called adipose tissue so the more fat you have yhe more water you will hold and so on |

Replace all your drinks with water
Have a glass before you eat too - it acts as an appetite suppressant |

I'm looking at more sexual exercise this year. I've put on a stone since last Christmas and I have to get it off, along with another 3 stone.
It's usually easier in warmer weather. |

Haha The title of the thread made me laugh
I'm on "operation don't be fat " too.
I'm not on a diet or eliminating any food groups because that sucks!
I'm calorie counting - which also sucks a little bit but not as much as not eating carbs
I'm weighing and logging everything on MyFitnessPal and cutting out booze to one day a week ( today hurrah )
I cycle to work everyday and am running around like a lunatic most of the day so I'm very active.
I've only been doing it since Monday so I'll have to see if it works!
I think not getting obsessed with the scales is the way forward.
I want to look and feel better - and fit in my size 12 jeans!
Good luck OP - I'll do it with you x |
