Why do people write forum posts that entice people to look at their profiles?

'Is my profile ok?'
'What's wrong with me'
Are some people that low in self confidence that they need to ask people to look at them and need the views?

The clue is in the question! They do it so you look at their profile!
It’s like a leaflet drop campaign, drop 200 leaflets through a letterbox and if you get 2 or 3 pieces of new business out of it, the campaign has been a success!
Similar profile views from such threads. Get 200 people looking, if you get 2 or 3 decent chats from it, jobs a good ‘un and you don’t care what the other 197 or 198 people think!
It’s all about exposure and getting yourself known and visible! |

I was on 9 views for a day once and wanted to get double figures for the first time. I put a thread up asking for someone to make it ten. Had bugger all to do with low self esteem, just wanted to go 'get in'. |
