Just checked your profile and it's fine. You aren't a rudey dudey!

It's the ones who write I want someone to fuck me hard up the arse and stick a cucumber in my sopping cunt that tend not to be written by a lady

Professional photos too good to be true. Ok some are real. But I’ve seen some guys photos and the bio just doesn’t wash with the photos. Also couple profiles with just the males photos and stolen photos. One of mine has been used by at least 4 other profiles on here. All reported

For us we’ve found (as we are looking for females only): lack of face pic within the first couple of messages, we have a rule if they can’t provide a live face pic (if they haven’t got one on their verified profile) within the first couple of messages then we move on.

Vulgar language, while a handful of females might use that kind of ‘talk’ I don’t think most women would use that kind of language (if they were real we wouldn’t want to meet them anyway).

Veris if they have been on a long while without one that is a bit ‘alarmy’ for us, we also prefer a site supporter too as they seem a little more serious about it.

"If the pictures are all selfies that should set alarm bells ringing."

How would it?

I’m a single fem so don’t have others to take pics of me very often - ergo the vast majority of my pics are selfies (albeit taken with camera on timer!)

Isn’t the opposite likely to be true? Ie if all pics look terribly professional and posed then there’s a high chance they were nicked from the internet?

More referring to 'couples' accounts tbh but same with singles to a degree if they are meeting others. Everyone's a photographer these days! Your 'opposite' proposition isn't anything to do with multiple selfies.

Hiding in the shadows

Old photos!

I was contacted by a couple when I first joined.

Only 2 pics of them together, obviously from a proper shoot, but dated 2013 (since deleted them but reposted them, so show new recent date)

I asked for recent pics, only got pics of him, then excuse wife would send one when she got home from work.

Never happened.

He wanted to arrange a social, then the wife called away with work, could we still meet?

I asked to speak to the wife via phone first, she had left her phone at home by accident!

I'd figured it was fake within a few messages, just wanted to see how far he'd go!

Yes I have a weird sense of humour at times

*couples where the guy ONLY meets alone

We play as a couple & occasionally separately from our couples profile as we aren’t always free at the same time for meets. We have veri’s as a couple & both separately - so the fact that G meets alone from it most definitely doesn’t not make it a fake profile!

I tend to find where there’s no meets, photos or any sembalance of a decent profile it’s generally a fake.

There are exceptions to that but few and far between.

Also love to check the photos people put up. Saw one yesterday where the profile said we want guys only but there were two different women in the photos (did a freckle check) plus US style plugs in the background...

You develop a sense and it’s keep me from wasted meets. Never had one in all my years here

Have had a lot of experience recently of couples profiles where the normal rule of addressing both people in messages hasn’t been applied and it turns out that it’s a single guy pretending to be partnered... there’s even some profiles where it used to be a couple who have broken up and the single guy uses the profile now...

That’s why being careful who we verify as genuine on here is important.

In general though if there are profiles that don’t contain much... have totally blank sets in terms of images or are very demanding for your KIK/Whatsapp then they’re usually fake or time wasters or people only looking to satisfy and gratify their own sexual desires.

Unfortunately, this is largely an issue with men.

Don’t assume that because a woman won’t immediately sent pictures or meet up or give out her number that she’s fake. The very real reality for women in these spheres and circles is that violence against women happens. Abuse of women happens. Leaking of women’s personal details on forums happens. Attempted shaming of women happens. Bullying and intimidation of women happens.

It’s understandable therefore that women would be very cautious on the site and needing to ensure a person is genuine before they even give out their number... let alone meet.

I get messages frequently saying you’re fake even when I have my profile active and veris showing. I assume it’s just desperate men seeking attention and trying to get a message regardless of the content.

So if someone’s questions your reasoning then they are fake?! How is that logical? Just nasty men abusing women for no reason, happens all day he time on here and it shouldn’t be condoned!!

We tend to avoid people who’ve been on for a year with no verifications, no photos, wanting to talk about sex in the first message, there’s a few things we look for.

We’re both pretty good at sniffing out the fakes

Also reverse image search photos when they look suspicious

Others: Fancy a fuck?

Me, an intellectual: Would you care to partake in some amorous activities involving a period of cunnillingus, followed by penile vaginal penetration culminating in mutual satisfaction?

"Any profile that look suspect I tend to message them saying they are fake, if they reply with ‘why’ or on over reaction then they are definately dodgy

That’s rude and has no logic!

Getting to the point has got to be logical!

I get messages frequently saying you’re fake even when I have my profile active and veris showing. I assume it’s just desperate men seeking attention and trying to get a message regardless of the content.

So if someone’s questions your reasoning then they are fake?! How is that logical? Just nasty men abusing women for no reason, happens all day he time on here and it shouldn’t be condoned!!"

Think you might be over-reacting a tad. We think it is quite funny when someone accuses us of being fake.

I don't get how having selfies sets alarm bells ringing.

I have to take all my pictures myself. I ain't asking guys I meet to start taking pictures of me. I have to take about 20 to get one decent one to use.

You missed out the word 'all' which is quite important by context. Maybe if someone else was taking them you could get it down to one decent one in ten?"

How do you tell a selfie from one taken by someone else?! Mine are a mix of both but it's only me in the picture!

Depends how you define fake; just counted the number of fields filled in on my profile and it's over 20 (includes interests).

So, if I was to change my sex to female and be non gender spefic about other things (but honest), then my profife would be over 95% true.

Or is a fake profile one that has one false entry? In which case, those that don't put their real age (I know there's a lot that do this) have fake profiles.

I don't know; if I went to a meet and it turned out to be a bloke, we could laugh about it and have a drink together. But, if a meet turned out to be a 90 year old granny, we'd spend the evening chewing toffees (not an youthanism) and talking about the war.

No that's not how it reads at all. The quotes don't imply that. It reads like you are saying the previous 'were' is untrue.

If that's not what you meant here's a novel idea: explain clearly instead of getting defensive and obnoxious.

What would be the point of the speech marks if I was just disagreeing with a post.

Here's a novel idea for you, only stick your nose in if you've got something sensible to add. Or do you want me to be clearer?

The point of the quote marks would be to suggest you were disagreeing with the specific choice of word. With no other context offered this is a reasonable and valid interpretation of your post.

You could have followed up by explaining but no, you got insulting.

The point of quote marks is to quote, there is a massive clue in the words.

You must have a different interpretation of the word 'insulting', to most as well.

Yes, you were quoting. It is the implications of the quote that are the issue.

Telling someone not to poke their nose in is generally consider rude and insulting behaviour in civilised discourse.

Leaving this now as I have paid writing work to do.

There were no implications it was a quote ffs, nothing more nothing less. The 'implications' are in your head as is your latter accusation. Where did I tell you not to stick your nose in?

Do you write fairy-tales by chance?"

May I answer by quoting your own words?

"Here's a novel idea for you, only stick your nose in if you've got something sensible to add. Or do you want me to be clearer?"

That is exactly where you told me not to stick my nose in.

If you looked at a couples profile and all the pictures were selfies. wouldn't you question that?

Not if both of them were in the pic

And if they weren't?

I have 20 years worth of pics with my ex, ever since smart phones I’d say 100% of them were selfies

'Weren't'!

Were

Ffs, it's like having teeth pulled sometimes!

Well make your point then and stop being arrogant!

Given your previous confusion over what purpose quotation marks have I can see where you you have got muddled here. Just because the word nose is in each of the very different sentences it doesn't make them mean the same thing. As an aside if you did think what I said, not what you think i said, was insulting did you report it?

Wording in their profile

How they respond to questions

If they keep giving excuses

Won't show photos.

Give two weeks to meet for coffee...If they can't arrange that in that time then block and quickly move on.

"I spend some time viewing profiles but how do you know if the profiles are fake? Any tips?

If it's a female using vulgar language ....this is unlikely to be female, although there are the occasional rudey rudey out there."

i get this - not many ladies come on full on straight away - most of the profiles tend to go unlos quite quickly

Umm...not sure why you are arguing any more, or on what basis you would report each other...might be better just to walk away now...love and kisses to you both x
