To see the world. Had a cunt of a year in 2017 with a lot of heartache so decided that life’s too short and there’s a whole planet to see.
Plan is to head off in March on the following route... India, Asia, Australia, NZ, South America, US (road trip, LA TO NYC) Scandinavia.
I’m travelling light and whilst doing some touristy stuff such as taj, Great Wall, ice hotel/northern lights etc I do want some recommendations for off the beat places
So you fabulous lot, based on fact I can pretty much go anywhere, please share or send any recommendations, they’ll all be appreciated |

"Don't miss out Africa too, there's amazing countries to visit there. "
Purposely missed it this time as I need to look into it in more detail. This one will combine seeing friends around the globe but Africa will be post 2019. Feel free to give me some ideas |

From a personal perspective, I've been to, spent time, and worked in Ghana. Add to that, safari's around Kenya, notably Laikipia, and Masai Mara. The trip was rounded off by heading to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro, before being a beach bum in Zanzibar for a couple of weeks R 'n' R. |

Good for you OP!
I travelled for over 10 years - working here in the UK every summer, knowing there was an end to it and travelling all winter.
Yes there is a big world out there and you're going to have SO much fun!
I'm jealous!
No one can give you advice - just get to your first destination - you'll meet so many people along the way and get swept in different directions.
My only advice would be to never buy tickets in advance.
Enjoy x

Cuba, before it becomes completely modernised and looks like a lot of other places.
You only live once, stay safe and, get out there and make some good memories |

Great idea -I hope it’s a fantastic adventure. Take in Iguaçu falls on the Argentinian/Brazilian border -breathtaking beauty - I’ll be there in August hopefully |

Sounds fucking awesome!
I'm doing the American road trip thing, too, for two months in the summer. If you go before then you should come back to this thread and share your suggestions.
Have a great time!! |

Sorry to hear it's been bad for you
Have you ever visited Germany? Beautiful places in what was the old east side. Dresden is especially nice as they have rebuilt the bombed old areas to how it was before and a walk along the Elbe is just stunning.
Good luck on your travels

Firstly thanks for all the suggestions, not going to reply to each individually as you don’t want to be spammed but to answer some...
HK/Cuba... not planning on as been to both a few times already
Argentina/Brazil definitely
Nicaragua I’ll be looking into now
Germany, not planned to visit anywhere else in Europe other than Scandinavia at this point so Germany along with Russia are for future ventures
It’s only when you start planning for something like this you do realise that there are so many places to see and your list suddenly becomes a very long list! |
