"For me it has to be fun.
Fun guy looking for fun... Sounds like a mushroom.
So fun...
No it isn't."
This ^^^
This statement is always accompanied by a picture of the most miserable looking artefact ever....
Proper rustles me jimmies it does. Talk about false advertising.

I don't like the grammar or spelling police and as a rule, I tolerate the way others express themselves. As this thread is inviting us to express what gets on our tits, I would have to agree with most of the above.
My particular pet hate is... ellipsis!
There should only be...3
Not....4
Or.....5 or, any other amount!
For the only reason, that I am mildly dyslexic and it's an extra distraction. Anyway, if you are guilty... don't take it personally! |

Specifically using lol and hehe when there's nothing amusing - hehe,, tehe, or whatever they say, could be ok from a 6 year old but they're not.

They remind me of characters in the Beano, back in the 70s.

That's ok. Like I said, not to be taken personally. I tend to read the same sentence multiple times and jump from the middle of a page to somewhere else and find myself reading a part I've already read. My eyes are all over the place. For some reason ... these really stand out to me if they aren't right and I keep getting drawn back to them. I love reading but it's a real nightmare. |

I'm like that with capital letters that shouldn't be there. My phone capitalises random words for me and it's aggravating me. |

But...
Is it the actual term or the sheer volume of overuse or misuse in some cases. There are words, term's listed above that I get why they are listed, some listed above I am guilty of doing but don't get the passionate dislike of some.

"Any Americanism, such as ass (unless you are talking about a donkey, the correct word is arse), panties (should be knickers) etc.
"
It is so much easier in the mornings to get your arse in your knickers than it is to get your ass in your panties I bet! |

Ha ha or he he. It makes me want to rip my eyes out.
Using the all over the place. It makes people look stroppy. If someone stood in front of me and kept rolling their eyes at me after every sentence I'd have to up smack the fecker. |

I'm not too bad with technology. I can take it slow and correct things. Spell check is great and I get time to re-organise words I've typed as anagrams. Handwriting is my worst nightmare. It's embarrassing! Specially when my children ask me to write a note to their teacher as they are on the way out of the door luckily they're old enough to write the note themselves, I just dictate and sign. |

when some one has posted a lengthy reply in the forum using correct spelling and grammar and has “imo” in the middle of it.
mentioning cake or popcorn, you guys are just dragging extremely old furniture what that shit.
saying “each to their own” before ripping the shit out of them
