So, in the regular sex talk with friends (both vanilla and otherwise) there was an overall realisation that porn has fucked something's up.
For me, these have been:
1) [The art of] oral sex - My thought is, if I want to fuck something, it isn't going to be your face...
2) Interracial sex - there is more out there than just having a black person fuck (or be fucked) by a white person.
3) The lady - is it too much to ask that you took your time. She isn't a doll or some meat that you picked up from the market. This is sex, enjoy it for fuck sake.
What about you guys? Or have some of you given up on porn altogether? |

It took me a while to figure out why porn does so little for me personally as I am voyeuristic but erotica is what really excites me.
Outside of the bad acting, over emphasising, etc...to back up one of the ops points. I think it's so fast paced and if I saw something off putting it ruined it for me whereas with good erotica, you can sense if it's going in the right direction at the right place and simply going to the next story if that one wasn't working still kept my interest peaked.

Porn robbed me of my imagination, my fantasies have been created by it, made some of my orgasm depend on it, and set many false expectations as well as perceptions.
I didn’t realise that in many ways the beauty of 'Sex' had lost all its power and magic because it became a mechanical act, boring, and at times painful. It even feels soul consuming sometimes.
Putting on a performance instead of indulging in the experience and that's what MOST porn is about.
Of course, there are different niches but it is mostly, in my opinion, a show seeking the approbation of others. |
