Redwings fan too, big fan of Alex Ovechkin though, I don't think anyone was near him in his prime.

That's the problem with the play offs, if you go up automatically you have more time to prepare your squad for the following season (i.e. players that you might think that can strengthen your squad), are more inclined to sign for you, rather than waiting for last day signings when the cream of the crop has already gone.
Derby were testament to that the last time they went up via the play offs and came straight back down with a record of precisely 1 win and the lowest number of points in a Premiership season   |
