I am from an age where people don’t buy music they just stream it so I am blissfully unaware of the excitement you get when you buy a cd

Wirral

First single was ‘Club Tropicana’ bought with my pocket money. Still have it too!

First album was a Christmas present in December 1982 & it was the first ever ‘Now that’s what I call music’ compilation. It was a double cassette & it was in my stocking. I remember playing it all morning & driving Mum & Dad nuts with it!!

First ever CD was ‘Automatic for the People’ by REM just before I went to Uni!

There and to the left a bit

Embarrassing cringe time:

First single was actually two: Long Haired Lover From Liverpool and Nice One Cyril

First album: One of those Top Of The Pops compilations with a scantily clad lady on the front

First proper single: Slap & Tickle - Squeeze

First proper album: Can't remember for sure but think it was Fine Art Of Surfacing - Boomtown Rats and One Step Beyond - Madness both bought with Xmas money 1979
