Only time I've thought this was when a bloke in a local shop said fab about 20 times in a conversation and winked alot, I figured I must have been recognised, but kept a blank face and ignored it.

I do all the time I admit it . I've always said all site supporters should get a small discreet badge - button type thingy and keep it to ourselves so only members know . Would be funny

Thankfully just stuck to winking and saying fab, found it quite distasteful as I had mini me with me.

I wouldn't like it and once someone asked me on fab if i was in a certain shop ,I was and i blocked him. I think when outside of fab it's private and acting like that makes some people uncomfortable .Some need to be bit more respectful and think .

A couple of the responses to this thread show that to some discretion isn't in their vocabulary.

Yes I admit that is the problem . Everyone in here to remain discrete in public probably won't happen . I think it's a great idea in principle though

Well people could choose to wear it so it might indicate that they wouldn't mind being approached.

I don't actually think about Fab in my everyday life. It's something I log into, when I am quiet and in the mood really. I don't connect my real life to Fab.

Funny ? Men drooling over me and thinking it is ok to touch me up in a queue, because they can see I am a 'swinger' and therefore 'up for it'. And yes, many men would. How long do you think the 'little discreet sign' of a swinger, would remain secret ?

I think not

I once got a fab message asking if I was in a certain pub. I was - but I didn't see the message until I got home.

I thought it was pretty cool actually. I messaged back and we met the following weekend.

No disrespect, but a man being noticed as a person on a sex site, is not the same as a woman been seen as sexually available alone in public

Absolutely agree, sorry, I wasn't saying it's ok in all circumstances.

Personally no. I may recognise people that are actually on fab but that's it.

Never mention or say anything as I would rather people did the same for me.

We've had too many creeps we've never met saying they recognise us and yet there isn't a single face photo on the profile (apart from private ones we share with people we are meeting) so how they recognise us is beyond me and I find it creepy and stalkerish.

Most of my friends in London are made up of people from here and another site so I would say it’s part of my everyday life.

Stockport

Once got a message saying that someone recognised me doing late night shopping in tesco... Not sure how they knew it was me unless something to do with the green hair, 4 inch heels, stockings, and big coat under which I'd got nothing on except for very fancy lingerie...
