If you mean the actor Malcolm Hebden - who plays Norris Cole in Corrie - don't believe he's died but has been struck down by a mystery illness.
Let's not forget though that Norris is just a character in a soap - am sure it's a worrying time for the actor's family  |

If he has that's incredibly sad - like his character or not - he portrayed him well for many years with a fine eye for both humour and pathos.
Was only saying earlier this evening that hadn't seen him in the show for a while. |

Just ran a further check and the ONLY source reporting his death is a fake news website in Florida of all places - Sally Matthews (who plays Jenny) has also confirmed on Twitter that it's false news
Either way OP it's pretty off to be glad someone has died - especially as all that person has done is play a character you didn't like in a soap you no longer watch!!  |

Any man's or woman's death diminishes me.
To post such an item in a forum which can be accessed elsewhere online with such an apparent degree of malice and pleasure at the demise of another...

OP. Surely in this day and age, you could differentiate between the Television character of "Norris" in Corrie, & the actor's real name of Malcolm Hebden.
Then to say you had no interest in the show as you hadn't watched it in years, but still had the gall to be wholly negative in what is really a false story, strikes me as utterly reprehensible!
Check your facts first. Newspapers are querying why some outlet in the US has even issued such a non event.
If you can't say anything nice about a death, don't say anything at all! |

Seriously though, I think the character is expertly played by Malcom Hebden and I actually think that the programme is better for having the elder characters that it does. |
