"How do you deal with your sad?
I run.
Watch slaps stick comedys.
Or music to snap me out of the sadness.
Sinking is better. "
Don't sink. Just embrace the wallow. Feel the feels. That way you can come out of it and feel drained but emotionally lighter afterwards. Like a psychological mud bath. Looks disgusting, feels weird at first, but after you've got out and showered you feel cleaner than you have in years. I imagine anyway, I've never had a mud bath. But I have listened to Flanders and Swann. |

You need to understand it first ...I wasn't being in any way flippant just how I deal with it, sometimes you can't solve but you can accept...because it works for me doesn't make it right for everyone |

Sometimes I write things down, sometimes in the shape of a letter if it’s something about a person, which I never send but makes me feel better. Sometimes I just sit and cry and then think of all the good things about my life, other times I can be a sad state for ages but I haven’t had one of those for ages, having someone like Ads around reallt helps, he has been the only person in my life that can bring me out the other side almost in an instant.
Here if you need a chat, I know it’s just internet stuff but we are all real people at the end of the day!! Chin up sexy!

If it's really bad I cry in private so no one can see me, I mean my children really. I hate it if they see me sad.
If it's really, really bad I run to. I once ran 150 miles away and stayed there for 3 years. It was the best thing for me at that moment. It meant no one knew. What I should of done was been honest with the new friends I made but I couldn't/didn't want to do that at the time.
Hope you feel better soon gf, here if you need a snog x |

"Deal with it...understand it, solve the problem...

Life. "
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

My drive to and from work is quite long so I do most of my best thinking then when I've got things on my mind. Probably sounds weird but I'll talk to myself out loud in the car too on occasion, like I'm putting whatever is bothering me into words and imagining I'm having the conversation with someone, it helps me clear my head of things that I probably wouldn't actually talk to anyone about. I have good friends who I can talk about anything to as well, I learned a long time ago not to bottle things up |

Hope you’re feeling less beat up this morning.
I have a habit of either keeping it all in until the very last straw breaks me. Mad Mac unleashes holy hell and breaks shit.
Or I lash out there and then but this is counter productive as often I get talked down and led to believe it’s my fault for whatever reason. This then transfers to my next mad and I never truly let it go. This girl can hold a grudge.
Oh. I cry in the bath too. That always helps.

It will make you feel better!
I don’t have a car. Still want me to go on the motorway?"
If you want to go on the motorway and scream, I can take you in my car, just let me get some ear plugs first. Actually, just thinking about it my driving on its own is enough to make people scream |

Hugs Estella.
Is it sadness?
Feeling low, with or without reason?
Has depression been triggered, are you a past/present depression sufferer?
There are various ways i cope with each. Happy to chat here or privately.

"Thank you. Apologies for being bleak.
Health scare. I’m adulting now. Cheers all. x
"
Good to hear your feeling better daam hns takes a while for them to tell you anything!They say no news is good news.,but that's clearly a load of blocks.
I had a bit of a scare a few years ago when my mum noticed a lump on the back of my head.
Cut the story short it was removed and I ended up with a cock shaped bald patch on my scalp
Only for my 8 year old cousin to tell me that i had a cock shaped bald patch in front of all the wedding gust at my brothers wedding
Was proper depressed after that!
But times a good healer and you get to see the funny side after a while.! |
