"I keep welling up watching this. It's a tough course; go out and speak to 100 people on the street and then make a speech in Trafalgar Square. That would be tough, even without the the stammer. What brave thing have you done recently?" I saw one of the guys in this morning doing his speech to his wife, it was lovely! My thing isn’t really much but I work with a complete idiot and since I’ve been there she has spent waayyy over budget and she never actually does any work how she is still there is beyond me, we do the same job and up til last month we were on the same hours so no one was really in charge of our department. I’ve upped my hours now and I’ve been told I’m in charge now of budgets and so on. The woman came in the other day and said ‘I’m going to do some reminiscing with them’ (Work in a care home) I said ‘you need to do another activity because that’s ALL you do’ (eg just sits on her arse chatting to the same residents for an hour) and she’s said she is going to do certain things that cost our department loads id money but I’ve put my foot down.
