You have some great pics, and look amazing, so I’m not surprised you’re happy with yourself. I don’t think I’d go as far as to say I’d be put off by someone who had psoriasis, but I’d definitely prefer if they told me prior to meeting. Have you told any potential meets?

Just mention it to the guys you want to meet so they don't act surprised when you go to play, wouldn't bother me in the slightest, it's a skin condition not a disease that they can catch so if it puts them off just proves how shallow they are and wouldn't be worth meeting anyway! My ex used to suffer badly on his arms and legs, he hated it but I got him wearing shorts and tshirts without caring what people thought, if you don't let it bother you it won't bother other people x

Have you tried addressing it through diet op? My son has gone vegan and only uses skin friendly products and his skin is nearly clear, it's made a vast difference.

Very uncomfortable condition to live with and get why it knocks a person's confidence but you are so much more than just your outer layer. If the guy's are genuinely interested, they will wait. Use the time frame to get to know them a little more

It is going to be offputting for any meets. Can't get away from that. If you tell them up front they are prepared at least.

However I am more concerned about how you feel. Would you be worrying so much during the meet that it would stop you enjoying it?

Be confident !

Look for Dead Sea salts and have long soaks, also as said above remove alcohol, caffeine and fatty meats as much as you can but increase the marmite type natural boosters and if you can stretch to it get some time on a subbed. In addition Holland and Barrett will chat about natural remedies they have every little helps. It is hard and quite a change but also look fo4 the triggers for a bout of it.......stress is the main reason so look to learn the calming techniques.

Stay confident. X x

As long as you are comfortable, sod what anyone else thinks.

Use it as a handy filter to eliminate those who can't be arsed to get to know you as a person and not a condition. It doesn't define you, don't let it dictate to you.

Even if you don't want to go fully vegan, cutting out dairy is good for skin.

Also, look up Child's Farm moisturiser and read some of the reviews. It's cream for kids but it seems to work for so mamy people.

Most men say that as they think it helps them get a shag. The brutal truth is that on a casual sex site people mainly judge on looks. Psoriasis will put some people off, but not others. As others have said, if you are up front about it, all should be fine.

You are a woman. There are around 19 men on here to each woman. Plenty will still want to meet you

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

Its easy to say don't let something like this hold you back but I can appreciate how you feel having suffered numerous times myself..

However, have you tried evening primrose oil tablets?

They work absolute wonders and whenever I get a flare up, I start taking them and within a week the redness and inflamed skin has calmed significantly.

Do try and I really hope it works for you too.

Hiding in the shadows

I have very dry skin & get bouts of psoriasis.

I feel like hiding away when get a particularly bad one, and I really don't think I'd want anyone other than someone who really knew, to see me naked.

An old Irish lady told me to dab honey on it...

I laughed. It worked!

I've also had patch tests done & cut out trigger foods, which has really helped, but stress is also a huge factor.

At the moment the only place I seem to get patches is on my scalp

It would put me off. I'd prefer to know before meeting- I wouldn't be happy if they didn't say anything before we met. Would it hurt to wait a few months until you get better? Or you could meet someone you've met before.

If you take everything off your 'looking for' list it takes you off the searches and it cuts down the mail considerably. Winter is always worse, sunlight may help. Hope you feel better soon. x

Try turmeric, its amazing for the skin. mix in yoghurt and apply to your skin, wash yourself with it - you'll need to do some research.

I personally have known people who have used it for psorasis, extreme sunburn and acne. Its worked all the time

good luck!

She has changed everything she uses from her shampoo to her washing powder

She only buys anything that is specifically for psoriasis

And she goes to the sunbeds once a week...

Hers has definitely eased off

Indeed. . This pretending that people on a swinging site are primarily interested in getting to know you as person really is annoying bollocks.

This site is not about finding life partners and friends, it's about finding people you fancy to fuck. . Inevitably that means that people who don't conform to commonly accepted standards of physical attractiveness will get less attention than those who do.

I am much an egalitarian as the next person, but let's not pretend all of us are equally sexually attractive.

I think the severity of it would be a factor for me personally.

But if we were planning to meet I'd want you to be honest. I'd offer for you to show me if you'd like and I'd let you know based on that.

And I absolutely would honour our arrangement to meet, although I'd be up front on whether I'd want to just be a social or not.

It's a condition that effects the aesthetic for sure but it wouldn't stop me from deciding if I want to spend time with you at least. That's more about who are anyway

SOMETIMES, you see the real person in the moment of uncertainty. Could save you alot of heart ache later!

A lady warned me once that she had it in case it bothered me at all. We still met and I never even noticed it.

"My sister suffers

She has changed everything she uses from her shampoo to her washing powder

She only buys anything that is specifically for psoriasis

And she goes to the sunbeds once a week...

Hers has definitely eased off "

My consultant told me to avoid sunbeds at all costs x

Awwww don't hate yourself, your lovely and beautiful maybe a little self loving and appreciation might go as well as treating the skin

You are amazing, keep telling you that

"I’ve always been a confident woman happy with my curves n size n never felt embarrassed until now ... I suffer with psoriasis n got it really bad at the mo all on my legs back n bits on bum n tum n arms n I’m having to putoff meets from some lovely guys Cos of this as scared it will put them off , I know it will put many off as it’s not a pretty sight but I’m wondering how many people wud be put off from this n brutally honest replies welcome , just need to get this off my chest , I’ve got to wait 3 months for hospital appointment for light treatment n it seems forever away

You are a stunning lady and as other have mentioned your pictures are amazing and you should be proud of the lovely curvy body you have.

If I was meeting you, I would not be out of by you having psoriasis. You are visually stunning and as long as your personality also reflected that then no issue.

I mean it would be an excuse to regularly rub lotion all over you

Thank u so much means a lot. X"

You're welcome & being honest is key. Love yourself and who you are!

My psoriasis comes out when I'm stressed and I'm all blotchy with some angry scaly patches bit it's not stopping me. If people don't like it it's their hard luck.

Don't worry op most people understand x x

OP it has pleasantly surprised me quite what physical flaws the decent guys will overlook.

It might put some off but they weren't the right ones anyway

Do you eat milk, cheese, chocolate etc?

Yes I'd be uncomfortable.

Reason being it looks tender and I'd be worried I may hurt / injure you.

Others (small mind types) may think its contagious and run a mile, thetes always those pillocks about.

Not sure if you should meet while you have that as you'll feel self conscious. Just my thoughts.. Good news is it'll go away in time x

OP how would you feel if you told someone about it before you met and they politely said they don't want to meet you now?

If I was lucky enough to get a meet with you it wouldn't put me off in the slightest, a good diet might help, fruit and veg, oily fish, nuts and seeds, porridge, and plenty of exercise,

Line up some socials with potential meets, that way you will save time later with time wasters.

Worst case scenario you have a cuppa with a numpty, best case scenario you meet some really nice people that you both won't wait to rip each other's clothes off.

Only shallow minded people would be put off by this, it’s not like it’s anything disgusting is it, it wouldn’t bother me to be honest but I’m more about the connection. Same goes for stretch marks and scars too x you’re still beautiful xx

Have you tried bathing in porridge oats. May seem strange, but it really is supposed to help skin conditions. Google it

I used to see a girl with pretty much full body eczema.

I enjoyed rubbing my all over with lotion.

Great sex and great fun.

Have you thought about wearing a body stocking? I have spots and scars on my backside but tend to cover them up.

Good luck

Travelling

Until 5 months ago I was classed as a severe psoriasis case. I have been on a new treatment called Stellara, and the results are unbelievable. I have gone down from a PASI of 13.5 to 0.5. Ask your Doctor for a referral to the hospital, this stuff is amazing!

I suffer from it around my nose and my chin (hence the beard ) as has my dad, he’s tried tea tree oils, moisturisers, sun beds, and a host of other things, though he’s stayed away from steroid based creams as my uncle did them and now the psoriasis is back with avengance!

I on the other hand just take something blunt to my face and try to scrape off the dry skin before I leave the bathroom mirror in the morning, though if I’m having a bad day and the skins cracked I end up wearing a plaster now and then!
