Clearly illegally. Marriage between certain relatives is legal however between parents and offspring is prohibited, even when there is no blood relationship, i.e. adoptive parent or parent-in-law.
If I was Paul I’d suggest he runs for the hills before the authorities catch up with him |

Had his father remarried thus his mum was technically not a direct relative but merely his late fathers now widowed wife |

I don't think any females would be called marry to be honest.
It should probably read Paul comes back to mary his mother, then people misread it as marry XXX |

Secondly only invented when some one wanted to pretend the correct vicar answer is wrong
And thirdly is grammatically incorrect

It should be written
