People stop white knighting I’m fat. I have no issue with the word fat. I have fat- lots of fat. And bbw term is over used in my opinion as beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Blimey, there are loads of descriptions; skinny, slim, curvy, porker, average, fat, munter etc..
We need to lose a few lbs ourselves and lets be honest, fatties are not fat by just eating two salads a day. So if someone's vanity gets hurt with a word, do something about it.
This, "I'm offended" culture is embarrassing. Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.
If you like skinny or fat people, go for it. If skinny or fat people don't like their shape, do something about it. |

I don't like the word fat because it's often used as an adjective in conjunction with another very negative one as an insult... 'fat lazy...' 'fat ugly...' 'fat useless...' etc
Even in its most basic form as a description, it may be truthful but it's hardly a good marketing word (and let's face it - on a site like this we're trying to advertise ourselves in the best light possible) It'd be like a car manufacturer describing their car as 'cheap, boxy but ok for getting around in'. They wouldn't win too many customers that way. But that's the good thing about the English language - we have a vast vocabulary at our disposal so don't have to be restricted to descriptions we don't like.
I don't believe in being dishonest but there are less negative ways of getting the 'fat' message across. I make it quite clear I'm not sylph-like or particularly beautiful on our profile without using the word 'fat' once.

"Blimey, there are loads of descriptions; skinny, slim, curvy, porker, average, fat, munter etc..
We need to lose a few lbs ourselves and lets be honest, fatties are not fat by just eating two salads a day. So if someone's vanity gets hurt with a word, do something about it.
This, "I'm offended" culture is embarrassing. Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.
If you like skinny or fat people, go for it. If skinny or fat people don't like their shape, do something about it."

I just did 15 mins on the treadmill,
Now where’s the biscuits
There's a shelf thingy on the treadmill to put a packet of biscuits, you should have multi tasked, save a bit of time !
We had to laugh at someone in the gym the other week. On the treadmill, they had put a bottle of water in the Pringles holder."

As a fat lass I don't sugar coat it. Size 18 with a wobbly belly. But hey ho that's me. Take it or leave it. And I don't find the word fat offensive. Call a spade a spade |
