Hello everyone…
I’ve been browsing the site for a bit and I’ve noticed a number of women stating how many messages they receive. One said they had about 250, some have said they mass deleted 100s, and I think I saw someone say they had 500 to either delete or work through!!! I’m not saying this isn’t true, but is this really the kind of numbers you ladies are receiving? If it is, that’s incredible! I had no idea that some of you receive so many messages. No wonder many of you often feel sceptical about single men and get fed up with being bothered so much, or do you?
Made me think about the odd message I send, that’s for sure, and that the two messages I’ve received from women since I joined six weeks ago makes me a very, very lucky chap!!

I cleared my inbox new years day to 0. It is now on 374 unread. And I do try to respond to the deserving ones daily so probably read 10/15 a day. Alongside all the people I regularly hassle by message  |

Yeah I get about 5 a day too, really don’t know where ppl get their figures from. I see women complaining about d amount but honestly there’s probably a need for attention if your complaining & actually getting high amounts of messages. It’s simple if u don’t want so many, put on your filters, end of. |

I don't bother with filters as I like to be able to talk to people who message from forums etc. I don't mind the numbers I'm not really a moaner. I'll just delete it all next yr again |

I think for those women who upload a lot of pics and appear in the hot pics then its possible however i dont think its that common.
If you sensibly use the available filters then its more manageable and cuts out much of the dross, particularly the newbies/non verified/no public pic filters.
I dont understand why people dont use them and then whinge about getting too many messages...use your noggins |

I've seen new profiles with no pics, verifications and very little in the bio say they have 200-300 messages just 2 hrs after joining the site. Fucking crazy. I'd believe it. If they weren't getting so many they would have time to text me more cause I only get 1 a week if lucky haha |

Filters make it easy for women to control message numbers.
Attention seekers wont use filters, keep putting up new pictures and complain about the numbers. |

When I first ever joined the site I left about 5 hours later as I was too overwhelmed by the sheer amount and after replying to the first 100 (as I foolishly used to say thanks no thanks to all) I was timed out from sending messages for that day so I didn’t see the point in staying. by the Time I deleted I had 427 and I’d not even taken pics to upload let alone figure out how to do it.
Rejoined about 3 months later after meeting a couple at my local club that advised me about filters and not replying to all etc, and found navigating the site much easier upon my return |

I used to get a lot on my single profile but not in the 100’s lol. It depends on your filters too. We as a couple would get a few every day but since we put some filters on the other day we don’t get any somedays!!

I organise 3 different events and still don't end up with the hundreds of messages most women allegedly receive. I don't have filters on for that reason too.

I had about 60 messages in my first half an hour on here and that was with no pics or much profile. I think I got up to almost 1000 u read messages before my first bulk delete, luckily things have quietened down a fair bit these days  |

I have a few filters on. I probably get 5-10 a day, triple that if I've been on cam in the chat room for a while. I remember when I first joined a loooong time ago replying to messages in that first week was like a full time job  |

....Christ!!...that does make me wonder how to send a message that will come across A) meaningful, B) genuine, and C) how to get noticed!!!...also makes me think that many might feel like this, and realise it IS a numbers game, and just keep hammering away sending messages and hope for the best! |

From what I've read, and browsed, i don't really get the impression that many people are complaining as such, it's just about accepting how it is with this site and dealing with the amount of attention received, especially women, appropriately...'filters' seem to be the key!!! |

I don't get that many messages but getting my first online T profile in 2000 made me realise the crap women have to put up with 24/7 from men. it made me ashamed to share a chromosome with some of them and that is why I am an unashamed feminist. |

I had 1 message when i logged in this morning and that was from a guy i was chatting with last night. I dont get many messages at all but i do havd my filters set but i do reply to them all. |

I can imagine that it happens. When I rejoined on my current profile I got 600 views within the first six hours with no pictures or verifications or anything. The messages I got in that time would frighten any actual newbie off  |

Depends on the day, where I am, if I've posted a new pic, updated my status or forget to log out.
Average day, 50 messages (not counting friends I already chat with.)
If I go out of my local area, it can easily double.. I now switch off location option, when visiting friends/family to avoid that.
New pics & status has effect too.
If I forget to log out at night, which I often do, I can wake to a couple of dozen messages from late night FAFers
I've set my filters, age, newbies, none verified, no public pics.
Short of blocking everyone, not much more I can do.
It can be annoying at times, mainly the ones that have obviously not read my profile, or the ones that have zero profile themselves. Just a waste of both our times

I'm lucky if I get 5 messages a month on here but do understand a lot of people are inundated I don't know how they cope. I do have filters on plus strict age filters on so that stops most of the messages I get |

A normal day it’s about 50, when I put a meet up it was in excess of 500, if I change my status about 100. I don’t moan about the amount of message just the lack of quality messages. Filters are useless to me I’m happy to receive messages from men, newbies, unverified and those outside my age range, but I do wish I could filter out by location, whether they can accommodate, body type etc |

Even when I had my filters off I only got a mere handful of messages from new contacts each day. I went through them once a week and there were just over a hundred on average. Maybe some women are just more tantalising than others to get hundreds a day. |

When I had my single woman profile I'd get maybe a handful a day and always replied to all. I had lots of on going friendships and regular meets.
As a couple we find it helps to be VERY clear in our profile... We still receive 3 or 4 a day plus those from existing friends.
We don't use filters, never had need to and we always reply to everyone. |

I'm not really convinced that's the case. All women have a tantalising element!! As some have said earlier, it might be down to regional aspects and the number of members in those areas... |

I have been off fab for a month and had 135 messages .in the passed I have had more especially when get page 1 hot pics .Few times top of page 1 and then it doubles . |
