He was a pratt at United, wo why should he be any different at City.
United were fools to buy him in the first place, City double fools thinking he would be any different there |

Agreed, they signed him knowing what he was like AND on such a long and expensive contract. I love watching them self distruct

just another example of someone thinking they are bigger than the game that plays their wages
and another example of fans who give no one a chance - no chance for either side to investigate what happends and there are already calls for the guy to get sacked |

Prob is Evie he already blotted his copy book wanting to leave the club, fans see this as him trying to get them to sack him. |

as a non footy fan it just all seems very childish to me
thats the whole industry - managers are hired and sacked for losing 1 game, i know its a results driven industry but how can anyone make any impact in 1 game??
Is it a coincidence that Man Utd are as succesful they are seeing as they must have the manager who has stuck with 1 club for so long? |

Well not only in football do you feel comfortable with the same guy for a long time, you feel comfortable, know his foibles, how he's going to react and know that if you play ball with him, he'll reward you |

Hmm..Mancini made the point that Tevez would never play for him again..which kinda put's the ball in the chairman's court. Who would he rather keep? Who would it be cheaper to get rid of?
Seeing as Man City were totally outclassed by a German side, how far can Mancini take City in Europe?
The clocks ticking for one of them, maybe both |

from BBC Sports:
"When Tevez signed for City he was heralded with the infamous "Welcome To Manchester" billboard that so grated with United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
As City's plane landed back in Manchester in the early hours of Wednesday, the sentiment was that anywhere except Manchester was now welcome to Carlos Tevez."
Just about sums it up I think. |

Fantastic footballer and gifted but also troubled. He really wants to play football in his own country but has a contract and cannot really move unless some club pays 30-40 million. Money unfortunately rules football but i just don't see it making Carlos happy which is a shame for him i guess. |

He epitomises everything that is vile and ugly with top flight footy at the moment. I wouldn't let him play again.
I'm seriously thinking about starting to watch non league footy and follow Gateshead, top of the league, I can walk to the stadium and the team isn't full of cunts. |

the problem is that we saw what played out on live tv... as soon as it happened my city fan mate text me as said "never play for my club again"...
if it was someone at my club (arsenal) that had pulled a stunt like that then I wouldn't want them pulling on a shirt no matter if he was pele or gus caesar
the problem would be for any other club is if you sack him then you lose the right to any transfer money and he can swan off and sign another highly paid contract... but this is "money doesn't matter" city so i hope out of principle they do it...

after all hes done and if I was in charge of city I sling him in the reserves and get him to turn upto training everyday as per his contract and then not allow him to train with anybody and sit in a room on his own and rot, make him lose his match fitness and therefore lose his pace etc and not sell him till his contract runs out and keep fineing him everytime he leaves the training ground without permission, therefore not having to pay him and therefore fucking him up mentally as well as physically!! Tevez is becoming like nicolas anelka when he kept moving clubs for the money then falling out with the team, until he grew up.
City have only themselves to blame!! he has never learnt english despite being here for many years and the only one whos won out in all this is his owner kia jorcaban (dont spell it like that). I actually wonder do city actually own him or is he still under one of these wierd contracts?? seems a strange move to come out and deny what happened after whats happened, and gary cook has left recently too all happening at the same time, a coincidence?? |

to put it in context, the average annual salary of a manchester city fan is £19,000
he earns that in a morning and still feels the need to behave like a petulant child
but the clubs only have themselves to blame for some of the behaviour displayed by key players
i know i sound like an old man but money has taken the fun out of football
get yourself to a rugby league match instead - it's cheaper, it's more family orientated and you can get nearer to the thighs ! |

I wouldn't want to play if my team was 2-0 down and getting well outplayed either.
TBH the noise coming from tevez in recent years saying he's bored of football and wants to quit, its better for him to act like this and be sacked, rather than have to pay off his contract.
If you were half the way around the world from your family, didn;t speak the language, and never went out of the house.. i think you would want to leave too.
Ok so he has loadsda money!!! but money does not = happiness. Obviously he wants to return home to be with his children, cant blame him really. He has enough money in the bank to do without football and live comfortably for the rest of his life.. I dont think he really cares.
I agree with a comment above.. I think Mancini is soon to be on his way out.. |

but he chose to come and play here, he made those decisions.
true money doesnt = happiness but if he was truely THAT unhappy surely he has enough money to buy himself out of his contract? |

"I wouldn't want to play if my team was 2-0 down and getting well outplayed either. "
That is an incredible statement.
The man is a professional footballer getting a king's ransom to turn out every week. The absolute least he should do is put a shift in for the side.
And more so if they are two down with 35 minutes to go. He's paid what he is as he is a game-changer with massive talent.
When your team is down is the time they need him most.
If Carlos is so rich and doesn't like the weather/Manchester/the manager/learning the language why not just retire?
IF (and it's a big IF) what is reported is true he should never kick another ball for City.
This week has seen everything that is wrong with the modern game. |

He's not the only player to refuse to play for a club.
If he did infact refuse to play.
He cant retire, he has a multi million pound contract.. Man City would just sue him for the cost of it.
If, and only if he has refused to play, it's probably because he wants to leave, and he cant get that move.
he knows they cant do anything unless they sell him, or sack him.
either way he not tied into a massive contact he probably cant buy his way out of. |

If he plays for City in the Champions League does that not rule out him playing in the competition when he goes to Milan, therefore making him look a bit less attractive to them?
Maybe he's not daft if he's cabbage-looking, as we say round these parts. |
