Men don't read this it will just scare you.....
Do any of you lovely ladies get PMS so bad that you are a complete wreck?
I feel like as I'm getting older it's getting worse - I drift from emotion to emotion hour by hour.
I want to eat everything, cry and fuck everyone all at the same time

i wasnt too bad till about a couple of years before i started getting menopausal, and i went from being slightly weepy and a bit irritable for a day or so, to being completely taken over by waves of total fury, then tears, terrible tiredness..and yes, the eating..then it seemed to just drift into menopause, so i imagine its was actually perimenopause anyway..whatever it was , i can see how some women can commit murder in the throes of it! hope it passes for you soon! |

I can’t say I’ve noticed it affecting my mood so much as getting more painful over the last year. I’ve been lucky in the past in that they’ve always been relatively pain free apart from a little grumble at the beginning. Not so now.
I want to eat everything all of the time anyway |

Yes , yes, yes, and god dammit yes.
I really hate being a woman sometimes for pms, if I could have a hysterectomy I would do.
I've starting taking evening primrose oil everyday for the past three months, not sure if they are helping. But it's worth a go.

I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago and still get occasional pms, it seems when I'm stressed I get it and apparently that's not unusual... Meh |

I had my hysterectomy so escaped the brunt of it... saying that I do still get the time of month where I'm not sure if I want to fuck or punch someone. It's not as bad as it was x |

Yep and yep.
I feel like a dog moving from one drive to another in an instant
Anger/frustration/paranoia/indifference/crying/hunger/cuddle monster- but don't dare touch me- to crying again...
Oh and the tiredness....
Then I get frustrated because I know i'm being irrational and I know why but I can't control it.

Yes! But I think mine is the perimenopause
I haven't had period pain since my early 20's by the past few months, a week before my period i get terrible pain, and yes my moods are all over the place.
And spots, these have re-appeared too! Gah.
I'm going to get one of those menopause tests to see if i've started. Read about them on another thread on here yesterday, before that i didn't know you could get them!!

I didn't know you could buy a test either...."

God it's nice to hear other women have the same muderous rages I was considering I might have a personality disorder ( not ruled out but it's only tends to happen once a month ) |

I tend to get really emotional, the want for cuddles. But at the same time annoyed and frustrated.
The wanting yo punch everyone at shopping is a normal occurance though for me whenever i go |

I don't mean to be happy about all your pain but it's so nice that I'm not the only lunatic
The problem is I know it's my hormones - but I really can't stop it!
I just want to eat everything and punch someone and fuck and then cry about it - fuck it I'm having wine!

OMG I can so relate to this and empathise with you. I am experiencing the same right now. It's not just PMS though. For me it continues during my period. The tiredness and being an emotional wreck is the worst. I hardly recognise myself anymore. You're definetely not on your own! |

The last week of my pill packet I tend to feel more negative. I’m definitely more likely to see things through the glass half empty lense... I’m also more irritable and liable to be argumentative. |

I get angry and haven’t got so much patience for a week before. I’m just starting the menopause so my periods aren’t so regular. I’ve not really had much problem with pain but lately my boobs get very painful. And my skin is getting dry now more so x |

I never used to get PMT much, but a few years ago I started to be affected by it, had heavier periods that were erratic, the PMT was making me emotional and also short tempered. I went on the Depo injection, been on it ever since - no more periods, no more PMT!

Vitamin B6 and Evening Primrose Capsules help me. I’m sure St Johns Wort is supposed to be effective too. Exercise is good due to the endorphins. Hope you find something that helps. |
