How hard can it be....

to meet nice single men?
In the spirit of New Year = new excitement what novel ways are there to meet men? Or women for that matter?
For example, in the olden days we were told to go to night school for a car mechanics class. Then the classes just filled up with women.
I did a jewellery night class instead and there was a gorgeous guy. But he was gay.
More recently I joined a couple of Meet Up groups. Only to meet some very bitter women and a guy who became a proper stalker  |

I have no idea how anyone meets anyone in the real world these days, I guess if you live in a place that has a good social scene that helps, when I met Ads I lived in a few small village and everyone knew one another and I was always that no one was interested in (unless they were very pissed). I must admit I was scared to see how daring had changed so much when I started. I was lucky that I had a few dates that didn’t work out and then met mr on Pof. I’m not sure where single people go now x |

I always go chatted up, I thought it was because I had big boobs. Turns out I wasn't as fat as I'd been led to believe 
I'm self employed, though I do still fancy one of my contractors. But we've been there, done that.
Online dating seems to be full of freaks. Fab at least has people not trying to trick you into bed

I think I’ve lost the art of flirting, and even recognising flirting in the real world. I’ve been trawling the internet for victims for so long, that I don’t know where to start if I’m face to face. I just see it as friendly banter and conversation |

I think you should wander around a college at night and see which rooms have the best blokes in. Maybe chat with some on break time or just go in and join them the following week.

Work is a no go zone.
All my friends are already paired up.

I think moddern day dating has moved on massively and therefore allows you to have more contact with undesirable people which leaves a sour taste in the mouth.. .

I work in a male dominated industry and i dont date co workers but we have a good social life outside where you could meet people in the sector
Looking to meet people, you will never meet what you are looking for why, as you are looking for it

Trouble with meeting guys in the real world, you don't know if they're single or if it's ok to approach them.

I'm on some single groups on Facebook and the amount of cycicism and bitchiness that floes around on the posts is ridiculous!
People put up some massive walls in real life that sometimes it's hard to peep over the top and let them know not everyone is a twat! |

Where I am working there is an entire floor of just men (doing techy things). They don't appear to make eye contact with anyone, ever.
There is a social club but I'm not there that long so it's probably not worth joining.
