How you talk to friends or family

Are you more inclined to be honest with your opinions with your friends, or are you more mindful of their feelings and how they'll react to something you say that might not be what they want to hear?

Family will know you best (probably) and after a disagreement, will always talk to you anyway right?

Strangers/work colleagues - do we need to be careful what you say with these guys? Do you try to understand them before you push your views their way?

I say what I think. Usually what other people are thinking but daren't say it. Unless it's inappropriate, then I say nothing.

Sometimes Bee but sometimes you have to be tactful I had to have a long conversation with my flatmate the result of his actions he’s been evicted by the landlord and has got to move out on the 31st. I basically told him if he carries on doing what he’s doing he will end up with fuck all no job home ect he has listened but I shouldn’t have to do it

At work it depends who it is. You can’t always tell the CEO exactly what you think.

I'm not one for saying things just because I can, I would wait until I was asked unless I felt that someone was going to be hurt or negatively affected unless I intervened.

I say what I think but I do try to make sure people understand why I have that opinion. My friends come to me for advice because of this though, I'm not one to sugar coat things.

I guess the approach depends on the person and the relationship I have with them. Sometimes not being close with someone makes them more willing to listen, it doesn't seem so personal maybe? There's no other agenda?

I'm pretty much how i am on here.

If someone asks for advice i'll give it. If someone upsets me, i'll show it. If someone makes me angry they'll know about it.

I don't go around upsetting people. I have views and opinions on stuff but i keep them to myself unless asked.

Friends, work colleagues, family, they get the same me.

In the middle

I’m honest with my opinions no matter who I am talking with, however being honest doesn’t have to be brutal though and I would never purposefully hurt anyone who asked for advice.
