Pc? Mac? Laptop? Ipad? Iphone?

Technology is certainly making it accessible to access the internet but are all new technologies as satisfying as older ones?

I don't have an iphone as I have constant access to pc or laptop and I can't stand texting on the small screen never mind anything else. My phones are for phoning and I still prefer an landline to walking around the house trying to get a decent signal.

Do you think those using phones to access the net can really sit and relax and enjoy sites such as this?

I can always tell if someone has mailled me (not anyone to do with this site) via an iphone as its all typos and textspeak. Plus the time delay of receiving their message so it stints the flow. Also I like to see full pics.

So how do you get 'here' and what makes you choose the way of accessing above other methods?

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I have a ratty old PC in the corner of my living room. I was given an even older laptop but it won't pick up the wireless in my bedroom and shuts down after 20 mins. I can't afford an iPhone or iPad and to be honest think it would be a bad idea to get one. I'd be on here all the time!

I do worry about people who walk around looking at their iPhones, just in case they bump into me.

I accessed fab a couple of times when I first got the iphone but then o2 blocked it and I didnt get round to calling them to unblock it. Was no good for me anyway as I could see that I had messages but couldnt open them for some reason...

Apologies for that tongue in cheek comment. I just read the forum p[osts and not the details of the poster.

I was replying as a mum myself knowing my online interests.

I mean absolutely no disrespect to your mother whatsoever. Sorry if wires are crossed xxxx

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

I use my pc in my workroom... and so rarely come on the site unless I am doing something else in here at the time.

I have a small notepad/laptop downstairs but rarely use it as I tend to have other things to do and would never even concider taking it out with me.

I also have a work laptop and call that my 'clean machine'... nothing even remotely non-work related happens on that machine.

I can access the internel via my PS3 and telly in the livingroom... but again tend not to other than to watch funny stuff on YouTube with friends.

I have a phone which could access places like fabs but have never really felt the need to have such places on tap and don't really see the enjoyment of squinting at a tiny screen.

We use our desktops mostly. We do have a laptop as well, but normally don't bother with it! Have an HTC Desire HD with a large screen and that is much better than I thought it would be. As good as it is though, not as relaxed as a PC.

Must say though, prefer the desktops and use them most of the time, unless of course, we are out and about! Connection on the phone is very good when in 3G area or on WiFi. Use it for email too and I actually found out on Saturday, I can make calls on it!
