"I'd love to fuck an airline pilot in his uniform "
Totally too : ) I wonder if you can hire out those training aircraft simulators for a pilot/cabin crew role play? |

There’s a particularly hot flight attendant on the airline I usually fly with. She’d get it all kinds of ways from me... does that count |

I'm a PSV driver (coach) and have up to 70 people to look after per trip... I just wish I was paid as much as a pilot!
All they have to do is take off and land the plane... i have to watch all around me at all times... my job IS harder!

What's so different? I have (mainly) 49 people on my coach, going up and down the M1 / M25 and other main user roads every day... I have to be alert at ALL times, can't take my eyes off the road ahead or by my side... a plane has TWO pilots, and their main job is taking off and landing... everything else is computerised.
Just for the record... I have had flying lessons and found it to be very easy to fly a light aircraft. |

I still don’t see the comparison exists. Let’s bring train drivers into the mix too.
Commercial airline pilots train for between 18-24 months, their job involves more than take off & landing even if the airplane is computerised.
There is all the preparation before they get the flight off the ground, monitoring of the instruments, deciphering weather reports, monitor fuel, final approach prep and lots of paperwork.
Yes there’s generally 2 of them, for a reason!

"I’m getting on a plane shortly - should I be worried?
Planes can take off and land by computers now, nothing to worry about at all."
But only at airports which have compatible equipment on the ground to assist on board technology
A lot of airports world wide have complex routes in and out with surrounding terrain, problematic weather patterns each day and other factors to consider, so it comes down to pilot skills. |

Unless you are a Senior Captain for one the the major carriers it's really not that great. Junior flight officers aren't that well paid. Living out of a suitcase in glamorous parts of the World that you rarely see as one hotel looks like another. Working with different crews all the time so you don't build a team rapport. They are more systems operators than pilots... |

There was a programme on a few weeks ago about Ryan air new pilots... they are on a starting wage of 40k for 3 months, then up to 60k for 60 months.... and this can be for a 20 year old who has parents well off enough to get you through flying schools up to commercial... well paddy air isn't great, just one of the low cost budget ones. |

But sometimes it can be lower than that.
This is an extract from the Daily Telegraph:
"Data supplied by Balpa show that unless freshly qualified pilots manage to get a job with a major flag-carrying airline such as British Airways they can expect to earn about £27,000 to £29,000 a year, eventually climbing to a basic salary before allowances of £56,000 to £66,000 as a captain with more than a decade’s service and four to eight years in command." |

"Unless you are a Senior Captain for one the the major carriers it's really not that great.
"Data supplied by Balpa show that unless freshly qualified pilots manage to get a job with a major flag-carrying airline such as British Airways they can expect to earn about £27,000 to £29,000 a year, eventually climbing to a basic salary before allowances of £56,000 to £66,000 as a captain with more than a decade’s service and four to eight years in command.""
I really don’t know what airline that is tbh, the flight managers are on £30000 where I work so I know that the pilots are definitely on more than £290000 starting salary. I don’t work for a charter airline so can’t speak for them. |

"I'm a PSV driver (coach) and have up to 70 people to look after per trip... I just wish I was paid as much as a pilot!
All they have to do is take off and land the plane... i have to watch all around me at all times... my job IS harder!
we should start a fab coach driver club "

"2 pilots ... then there's the other person that does all the fuel checks etc...
Train drivers... 70k per year... airline pilots £100k + per year... coach drivers... well it's a hell of a lot less than we are worth!"
How much do air traffic controllers get Paid? That's gotta be One of the most stressful jobs in the world |
