Ps2. Play the ssx games a fair bit and the resident evil series up to number 4, the last good one in my opinion. Got the sonic collection for it too, 1,2 and three being the best..all those 3d ones are naff
Got a ps4 but really struggling to enjoy it..even my beloved resident evil they've ruined by making it first person which makes me feel like I'm playing wearing blinkers to limit my view of what's going on and making it that two sticks to walk about crap, one for direction, one for turning around...why?..I just can't get my head around that overly convoluted way of getting around a game

I haven't been a gamer for years but bough the youngest a ps4 for Christmas and what a farce it is setting it up, I agree with christos a lot of fucking about.
That said I'm now playing WOLFSTEINII and fifa again. |

Nah it was a lot simpler just putting a disc in and playing now you have to download wait an hour then watch 15 minutes of drivel before you can even play the damn thing. |

You'd still need to install it even then!
Basically processors now work faster than discs can possibly be read. Everything needs to be on the systems hard drive now anyway.
It is crazy how long that takes though |

Could be worse I suppose, at least it's just once and not every time like the old spectrum cassette loading! But yeah, it's mildly irksome and i preferred just buying a disk and playing..plus you used to buy a game and you got the whole game..now bits of it arrive later as dlc and all that..

PC I play more RTS games / Rpg stuff my steam library has lots of weird old games I got cheap
iPhone / IOS. The little warhammer 40k games and Darkest Dungeon
Undecided if I want to get cod ww2 and stsrwars bf 2. Played them over Xmas with nephews not really sure I liked them this time round I miss the glory days of cod era mwf2/3 and black ops 1

Marc plays video games, mostly on his computer. We have an Xbox (one of the older models), but haven't played it in ages.
I've recently downloaded steam, much to Marc's delight, because they had a game I really like on sale. Now Marc keeps telling m about games he thinks I'll like and I'm probably stuck.
I wish steam wouldn't tell you how many hours you've played a game for, though. I feel enough shame without having to calculate what else I could have done with that time.  |

It's always a bit depressing when I see the hours I've put into Football Manager over the years. I love that game but I could have done something else, learned an instrument or something.

I stay a few years behind the curve, so XBox 360 and pre-owned games. It's amazing how fast the cost comes down. I got GTA V six months after it came out for under a fiver.
Also love my Megadrive emulator. Gameplay is king. Over Christmas I was playing 688 Attack Sub and also downloaded a Master System emulator and a copy of Alex Kidd, for an old-fashioned Christmas. |

Last year I was investing some time in an Amiga emulator and some gems from my youth! Brilliant nostalgia and proper dedication needed for those old hard-core games with no saves! |

PS4 at the moment. Mostly star wars battlefront 2 for the geek factor. I used to be purely PC wow and CS:S but you can’t beat the console for portability! |
