Open fire, be careful!

Relit the fire earlier, put on a load of wood and put the fire guard in front. Just now, one of the pieces of wood cracked and spat out a hot ember over the top of the guard, which landed on the dog's bed. Fortunately he wasn't lying there at the time and it's only made a little hole.

Be careful out there, people and their pets!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Perhaps move the dog's bed?

I had a candle go mad today. If it had been unattended something could have caught.

Do you have to live in a field in order to exist?

I set fire to a spatula today. Today’s lesson, my fire alarms are not great!

I did that with a plastic egg timer once. Filled the house with acrid smoke. I have managed to not do it again!

Our terrier is used to dodging sparks as he's sat with his belly virtually up to the grate. The house could burn down round his ears and he'd barely lift his head

But yes be very careful. We have an old singed rug to ruin whilst it's fire season and have a closed fire guard for if we need to leave it
