So I'm thinking I'll hop on board with this new year new me stuff.
My diet leaves a lot to be desired and my body unfortunately reflects it.
I hate cooking so have been looking at meal replacement. Has anyone tried it? Did it work?

They're OK I hear until you want to eat properly again then it packs on.
I lost 10st simply by cutting out crap and eating the same but smaller portions... 19 months on it's staying off

Simple way to lose weight,
replace your dinner plates with ones slightly smaller, 1 inch makes all the difference... behave you smutty lot!
Your meals look the same but the amount of food you get on the plate is far less. |

Juicing is key invest in a nutra ninja or nutrabullet two juice meals a day and a healthy tea. Plus drink loads of water and I swear by hot water and lemon to cleanse x |

I did a juice diet many years ago to cut some weight.
A Homemade Shake for breakfast and lunch along with carb free snacks such as cashews etc. Then a low carb meal for dinner.
It worked wonders but the carb cravings were a nightmare.
Took discipline and exercise to keep it off though long term. |

Portion size is definately 1 of my biggest problems.
I hate cooking so tend to order in then get greedy and order enough to feed a family. Another staple is a 6 pack of crisps and a 2l bottle of for dinner. You see where I'm coming from? |

breaking the habit of not cooking is the biggest problem..
i appreciate some hate cooking but even just having beans on toast with a little grated cheese on top is far healthier than a family sized takeaway.
I will be brutal, your diet is down to laziness, you need to motivate yourself.
join weight watchers or slimming world to get the motivation, it is so hard to do it alone, you will get to know people there and you all help each other...
give it a try, what you got to lose other than a few pounds? |

Temporary diets don’t tend to work. What works is small lifestyle changes and habits you can stick to.
Cutting out sugar from your diet would be huge. No fizzy drinks. No added sugar. Do some research. Make a diary of the foods you eat. See how you feel after eating certain foods. Small changes can have a massive impact.
Making a shopping list and preparing your meals in advance will make it easier too. After eating well for a while you’ll feel so much better you’ll never want to go back to eating crap! Good luck! X |

This. Poor lifestyles are down to choice and habit. You clearly want to change, so break bad habits and replace them with new ones.
I usually put some time aside to meal prep once a week and knock out a few days worth of meals/ breakfasts all at once. |

Most people eat for reasons other than hunger. Even if we tell ourselves it is because we’re hungry. Diets don’t get to the route if this.
Before you hit a liquid diet, as yourself, can you eat (drink) the same thing day in, day out. Most people can’t. They crave variety. So you will do the diet and do hunting for variety. Making the diet pointless.
If you can cope with (limited) variety do one large meal to last all week. I roast a load of vege, cook a load of meat and that’s five meals done in 35 mins of cooking and about five mins of prepping
Other options are make a cow load of chilli in a slow cooker. (10 min prep). |

Yes they do work. All diets work but different people need different diets. If you do a total meal replacement one like their own shakes/ meal bars etc, it removes 'proper food' from your life while you lose weight. In some ways this makes it easier as you have to stick to it. In other ways it's incredibly hard as you need to drink a lot of water and still get hungry.
When you've got to your goal weight you have to retrain the way you eat. This is the really hard bit. It's not diets that fail, it's the person. People gain weight when they go back to eating the way they did before.

Cut out cards after 7. Eat small but often. Drink 3 litres of water a day. Get to the gym. |
