"What’s the best thing about where you live?
For me I live out in the sticks up a lane
It’s quite peaceful
And the pub is 50 yes’s away
The pub is where?"
A million miles away. I couldn't help myself. |

Lots of quaint customs...Sword dancing, unique Xmas carols.
People laughing at the place name (Penistone)
Every club and institution organise events which quickly turn into piss-ups...some of the best are at the local primary school. |

Nothing but fields and woodlands over my Garden hedge. No traffic noise.
Two local pubs which are very friendly. Mk Northampton and Bedford each within an easy drive. And an hour from London.
Wish the sea was over the hedge though. |

I live between 2 places. In Edinburgh my flat is 150 years old and has so much character, my street is really pretty and in a great busy place.
My place in Bristol is the opposite. Its relatively new and modern and is in a nice quiet street.

There and to the left a bit |
Live on the edge of a wood and a field which are both great for the cats - town is close enough to a great city for shopping, eating out etc and a reasonable distance to London, and VA is not far either |

I can walk out of my door, onto a footpath and be in open countryside within 5 minutes walk. And I'm near enough to a direct rail linl tbat i can be in central London within 30 minutes of leaving my flat. For me that's pretty much a perfect combination |

Newcastle upon Tyne |
Countryside within 5 mins of where we live, the coast 15 mins away. Live in a vibrant city and only a 10 minutes away from an international airport that can take us away to the sun when we tire of the wind and rain in the winter. |

The quaint little market town of Downcaster is within easy reach of the M18,M62,M1 and A1(M).We are on the East Coast Mainline and the trans pennine trains can get you easily to Sheffield and Manchester. We even have an international airport.
In other words,it's an easy place to get away from. You could even swim down the canal if all else fails. |

I live in a little village which I love and the best thing about it is Newcastle is roughly 14 miles south of me and Durham is roughly the same North of me
It doesn't get any better then that |

Over here I can lay in bed and hear the sea, I can sit up and watch the waves crash against the wall, it’s on a really nice old private estate but within 15 minutes I’m in the city centre.
Place in Spain is wonderful, very private, bit of land, quite a few orange and olive trees and the most wonderful views of the mountains. You can sit outside for hours and just switch off from everything |

Agreed that is a nice place. Near a nice tapas bar, and a great little bar "the platform tavern". |

Not on a bicycle no mate, it’s much better in the Caterham with the sound of the exhaust bouncing off the walls |
