Christmas Dinner

A world of my own

How do you do yours?

I've been slaving away for the last wee while. Aiming to eat around 4.30

Honey and orange carrots and parsnips in the slow cooker since 10.

Pigs wrapped in their blankets.

Carrots, broccoli and cauliflower ready for steaming.

Turkey crowm stuffed and topped with bacon in the oven.

Red cabbage and apple slowly heating.

Brussels and bacon chopped to stirfry.

Potatoes boiled, some to roast and some to mash.

Yorkshire pudding about to be made. However I've just been told that no one has those with Christmas dinner.. is that true?

I'm burnt, too hot and having them anyway!!

How's your dinner going?

Gosport

Everything is on track for about 3pm but the carrots went straight in the bin as despite being in date they stank when I opened the bag. Oh well I'm sure I'll cope on the other 6 types of veg.

We've had our dinner.

This year the gravy was divine.

Roast beef with a shallot and red wine gravy, yorkies and all the trimmings. Nom

Now coffee and chocolates on the sofa before the little people head to their other Christmas.

I may have a little sleep

I love cooking dinner for people, I just wish I had someone to cook for me so I actually eat it. By the time I sit down I am usually fed up with looking at food

I love cooking for people too. I would love a house full to feed but it's just me and the boys.

I've been picking at stuff so far so by the time I sit down I could be full!

Starters soon

All your dinners sound yummy

I've just got in from work giving people that don't have anyone their dinner- it was a lovely day!

I have to confess to picking at a few bits and I'm not that hungry!

My niece is going to kill me as she's been slaving away over roast beef, Turkey and all the trimmings

I having a little glass of fizz before I go to help the hunger along

Happy Christmas everyone xx

Sometimes U.K

A few of us went out for dinner. 3 courses, nothing elaborate, welcome bubbly and a few glasses of decent vino. Plus..no washing up.

Time for a movie and pressies now, then work tomorrow.

Happy Christmas one and all x
