Today?

I am watching songs of praise and thinking I might go down the church this evening for their Christmas service.

Lived here 17 years and don't think I've ever been down there. Time to start integrating with the community I think.

Not us. It can be a good way to get involved though, my parents have always been very involved in the church and have a very wide circle of friends due to it.

Not a Christian so no. I had my own celebrations a few days ago and am now just enjoying being off and with family.

No I wont be going to church.

Much as I enjoy singing carols, as an atheist I wouldn't be comfortable with the other elements of the service.

Not today, we used to go to the crib service on Christmas eve, but now we just don't seem to be organised enough to fit it in too.

I used to carol sing and knew the village and community but I'm now such an atheist that I just visit religious establishments fot architecture and history.

Not this year. I've enjoyed it at the kids' Christmas carol service previously though.

For the true spirtit of christmas, you'd be better off hunting down your local Pagan Society- its their festival which was handily stolen by the other lot

I used to like going to church but as I got older the strange birth mark on the back of head started to increasingly throb and cause me headaches so I had to stop!

I was going to but considering I still have lots of wrapping still to do, doubt I will make it.

I was at a Christmas service last Sunday which gave me a feel good warming glow. Some very wise (not necessarily religious) words were spoken.

Nope. Will just be relaxing at home today and then dinner tomorrow and relax.

Church is something I personally avoid.

No I won't be going. Up untill the age of 18 I was made to go to church every Sunday, did all the midnight mass and confessionals so I've done my time, never again...

Not sure why people suddenly feel the need to go to church at Christmas if you're not a practising Christian the rest of the year. You're either religious or you're not... it's not a once a year thing!

I'm sure the vicar is happy to have people through the door regardless of their year round religious practices.

I find it hypocritical tbh. I get asked every year by my family if I want to attend the Christmas service and I politely decline. One of my best mates who sadly passed away did the whole once a year Xmas Mass and she thought it made her a good Catholic.

That's the lovely thing about being atheist. I don't believe in such punishments.

I've been to a few services this year. I've found them quite emotional.

You Dont Need to Know, right now

I'm a practising Christian, so yes, I was at Church this morning (Christmas Eve), heartily singing out the Christmas Hymns. And I'll be going to the Christmas Day service, tomorrow. I gave today's Nativity Play a miss, though, and also skipped this evening's service, which is a spoken service only.

No it's not the Bible. People don't have to live by the book either. Love God.
