Who's going to church

Today?
I am watching songs of praise and thinking I might go down the church this evening for their Christmas service.
Lived here 17 years and don't think I've ever been down there. Time to start integrating with the community I think. |

I used to like going to church but as I got older the strange birth mark on the back of head started to increasingly throb and cause me headaches so I had to stop! |

I was going to but considering I still have lots of wrapping still to do, doubt I will make it.
I was at a Christmas service last Sunday which gave me a feel good warming glow. Some very wise (not necessarily religious) words were spoken. |

No I won't be going. Up untill the age of 18 I was made to go to church every Sunday, did all the midnight mass and confessionals so I've done my time, never again... |

Not sure why people suddenly feel the need to go to church at Christmas if you're not a practising Christian the rest of the year. You're either religious or you're not... it's not a once a year thing! |

I'm sure the vicar is happy to have people through the door regardless of their year round religious practices. |

I find it hypocritical tbh. I get asked every year by my family if I want to attend the Christmas service and I politely decline. One of my best mates who sadly passed away did the whole once a year Xmas Mass and she thought it made her a good Catholic.

"If I went to church a great big lightning bolt would come down and finish me off I reckon "
That's the lovely thing about being atheist. I don't believe in such punishments. |

You Dont Need to Know, right now |
I'm a practising Christian, so yes, I was at Church this morning (Christmas Eve), heartily singing out the Christmas Hymns. And I'll be going to the Christmas Day service, tomorrow. I gave today's Nativity Play a miss, though, and also skipped this evening's service, which is a spoken service only. |

Being Christian isn't all about going to Church. |

No it's not the Bible. People don't have to live by the book either. Love God. |
