Is it just me or does argos seem to be nothing more than a catalogue now, seems anything I wanted to buy they didn't have but if I wanted to pay an extra delivery charge then magically they can get it, also tried to find an item and they don't have the option to search other stores for stock now, so is it just an empty shop and they sting you for delivery charges on everything, why don't they close the shops and just sell online ? |

I had this the other day with it only showing one shop. It defaults to your nearest-you can get it to show more. Is it the mobile or desktop site you're on? |

a quandary, could you change my mind? |
I've tried various times to buy things from argos, I have 8 within a 20 minute drive they are all different sized ones , not one have had the items in stock. These were small items, between 10 and 90 pounds. Argos as a store is most definitely getting worse with stock levels and don't get me started on the special offers, None available across the UK and no not available for delivery.. |

They have pick up points in Sainsburys. I looked for something on their site yesterday and could search for stock at local stores too. It's Xmas so maybe they sold out. |

Sainsburys own Argos now and are still restructuring the business. They plan to close large numbers of stores and introduce pick up points in sainsburys stores instead.
Very little stock will be held in the sainsburys, you will need to order it in and pick up when they tell you it is ready for collection. Gone are the days when you could just go into the argos shop, pay for your stuff at the tills and wait for it.
I work for sainsburys and our store is becoming an argos pick up point. The local argos store that has been here for about 20 years is closing and the staff are all being made redundant. |

I get the option of about 5 Argos stores when I order. I am a big fan of the fast track same day delivery service. It's brilliant for ordering stuff and not having to worry about it coming on a day you're not home. I got my wardrobe, bed and a load of stuff that way, for £3.95 delivery charge. If Argos don't restructure they will just go bust, there's so much more competition out there now. Xxx |

I've found a lot of the odds & ends I've wanted have been in store but some of the higher priced items I've looked for have been a case of ordering & then collect from store (next day I think). The gripe I have is the in store computers to check stock. Used to be good but now my local ones keep freezing up when you use them so that refining searches is pointless. |
