i was chatting to someone last night about 7.30 and said that they where meeting someone off fab at 8. so i said that i would go and leave them to finish getting ready but they said that they had not started but not to worry about it as they only take 10 to 20 mins to get ready.
i dont think that this is enough time to get ready. i know everyone is different but really only 20 mins to get ready. am i wrong in thinking that or not.
i am interested in what you lovely people on fab think. |

"Maybe they were all done bar putting their shoes on and zipping up their handbag.
There isn't an amount of time anyone can quote for getting ready.
Adults just know when they are ready."
Too subtle some times xx |

It takes me 5 hours to get ready. It wouldnt take a man long to get ready cos they have short hair, and if your skinny, it doesnt take so long to have a bath. |

It all depends what sort of person you are looking to meet. Ruff and ready or classy. If its excluding showering then 20 mins would do it but only just. |

About to start getting ready here too for tomorrow night lol. In fairness that's my wax, but tomorrow will be spent dying and drying hair, exfoliating, painting nails and putting on my face. I'll probably spend most of the day tomorrow getting ready but in fits & starts.
I'd never be able to do a spontaneous meet

Just my opinion but yeah you are.
I now have an image in my head of a pm exchange.
"So when should I come around"
"Give me 10 minutes and I'll be ready for you"
"Sorry I have lost interest, you get ready too quickly" |

depends, not all women feel the need to put on make up and spend ages to do their hair, some go for the natural look
I suppose if your just having a shower, getting dressed and going 20 mins s plenty
Personally 20 mins wouldnt be enough for me because i need make up to look acceptable so i need at least a hour lol |

For me it depends, during the summer I would shower etc when I get home from work even though I will have showered before work so a good 45 mins if not more if it's more than a social meet. During the winter probably 30 mins unless I feel really yukky in which case see above |

Im the same, the longest part of me getting ready is doing hair and putting on make up, that takes over a hour alone |

To the OP - was the person you were chatting to male or female? That makes a big difference to the answer!
Mr takes about 15 minutes flat and I take about an hour assuming I've already had bits waxed, pedicure etc.
There are some people on here whose idea of getting ready is a quick wipe round with a wet wipe! Allegedly... |

Sat here with dye on my hair now panicking in case I don't have enough time to be ready for leaving here at 8pm
I have awful hair which takes over an hour to dry and straighten properly, nails will take about an hour all in including drying time and i'll need about half an hour to apply make up.
Have to cook and eat dinner as well as decide what to wear

If you're including tidying up the house in the getting ready time then add another hour to my earlier response! That inclues nagging time and being reminded that I'm not his mother lol Ms |

take about 1 - 2 hours I guess. Mostly because I prefer to pluck with tweezers than shave. It's far smoother and it's terribly itchy for days if I shave, to say nothing of the difficulties of shaving your balls (that's the dumbest fucking idea since atomic weapons). |

It usually takes me 2 hours to get ready to go out, be that on a meet or out with girlfriends. My hair is the longest outlay of time. Lashes take 10 minutes or so to get on, make sure they are glued sufficiently etc. Underwear and stockings can be fiddly and take time.
That time doesnt include nail varnishing of toes, shaving etc. I do that the night before. |

Mr can be bathed, wash his hair, shave and be dressed in about 30 mins - 1 hour max.
It usually takes me about 3 hours as it takes me a good hour or more just to wash, dry and straighten my hair.
Then when you add on time for having a bath & shave, putting on make-up, painting my nails and choosing what to wear. Time soon adds up!

I like to take my time.. regardless of if it's a meet or a night out.
I get my shower about 4.. then have a chill.. then do my hair.. and chill.. then do my face.. and chill with a drink.. then I get dressed.. and chill again |
