Depends on how environmentally friendly it is. I read some shocking news about being cremated if you are larger is horrible as the fat explodes and they have to burn you at a higher temperature for longer...

Now looking at more environmentally friendly ways...

Yeah says it tilts up so your head isnt submerged first as people are still afraid of drowning even after death

What happens if you're afraid of being burnt to death after you have died.

Surely the fatter you are, the better you burn? Bit like a huge candle.

Silk, wool or leather can be worn as it will break down in the solution

True, but in a very indirect way. This way is just so first hand.

As long as I'm dead I don't care!!

I only think off putting with the liquidation is you've nothing left, least wish ashes you get an urn.

There is a tribe somewhere in the world who put their dead relatives in special coffins that have funnels at the bottom. They suspend them in the air and the drink/cook with the goo that comes out.

"Honest?"

So one of the guys on my training course says. He studied anthropology at uni.

They might have stopped doing it once westerners found them and told them it was gross.

What size would the liquidator have to be? Would they just bung you in and hope you fit or would they have different sizes for slim, average or bigger people? Imagine the relatives having to choose which to have when they arrange the funeral? It would be like a trip to Currys kitchen appliance section.

It won't dissolve the skeleton, that will still be ground down as it is now, my only issue is the fact that the liquid will be put in the water chain and recycled as drinking water

I've been watching this develop since I read Mary Roach's Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers.

Definitely worth a read, as are her other books, and KOH/NaOH/pressure&temperature are environmentally friendly.

Cremation, burial or dissolution; you're going to, eventually, end up back in the endless re-cycling of carbon and other atoms.
