Does anyone suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder?
I need to hibernate. I have no energy. I struggle with the mornings.
Does anyone use a light box? Does it work?
Roll on January, with the days getting longer... |

"I've managed to avoid it so far this year... until last week. It's brought a nice dose of anxiety with it too.
Oh dear..not what you want before Christmas..."
Absolutely not, I've not been motivated to do my usual coping techniques which just makes it so much worse!
Big hugs for you x |

"Go and see your gp and be persistent.. some are set in their ways and don't accept it's an actual disorder.
Talk through your options that your local health authority can offer to help. "

"I do on top of bipolar! Hate this time of year all I want to do is sleep! I did buy a SAD light a few years ago but didn't work xx
How do you cope?"
Well this year I'm off sick so I'm getting loads of sleep. But most years I've just had to cope, have early nights and sleep all weekend. Sleep was my only friend xx |

And it’s got good even distribution and looks like a tablet screen, and when charged up can be wireless so very easy to position. It’s economical for the quality it is. Thoroughly recommend.

I guy at work as a blooming huge light thingy. It actually blinds me. He sits just across the office from me. Just right in the corner of my eye. I just turn at a slight angle to avoid it. |

Come rain or shine I go out for a walk every day. Could be 30 mins, could be 10 mins, but I always come back feeling happier and more energised.
Big hugs to all those feeling low x |

I tried one years ago so they may well have changed but it just gave me blinding headaches. I don't suffer so much now but my lifestyle involves more outdoor activity now which helps. |

I use a Lumie as my alarm clock. Set the time and it’s like a sunrise in the room. I’ve used it for years and haven’t looked back. And every bright sunny day I try to get outside for as long as possible. |

I might suffer. The one thing I'm sure of, I feel much happier in the sunshine, (I might be Kryptonion) I feel less moody.
Ive never been diagnosed, and not sure if you can, and I've never tried anything to combat it. I prefer to annoy those around me when it rains and goes dark at 4pm. |
