Tip your hairdrssser?

I’ve had to start going a lot more than I usually do as I decided to go red head for a change and wondered if it’s ‘normal’ to tip every visit!?

I do have a very pretty male hairdresser who I’m having to spend 3 hours every 4-6 weeks with *oh woe is me*

Not had my hair cut since Feb 16.

If they do something worth tipping, whether it be making you feel special, keeping appointment time and all the other bits that make it good then yeah, if they're boring and seem like they aren't actually interested then no I wouldn't.

My hairdresser recently decided to work from home due to some health issues. I usually take her something, this time it was mince pies But I don't tip her.

When I go to get my hair cut (strimmer job) it costs £7.50 I always give £10 and let them keep the change.

It's not a lot, but every little helps.

I always tip my hairdresser. Why would you not give a little to someone who can make you look like a knob with one little snip!!

I do occasionally, if I've had something extra special done, and at Christmas.

Had my hair cut today. We had a really lovely chat so giving a tip, albeit only £2.00, seemed the right thing to do.

I don't tip the hairdresser. I think they quite possibly don't charge us wholesale prices for the products they use or mates rates for a hair cut (unless their mates obvs)

You wouldn't go into marks and sparks ( others stores are available) and tip the cashier. I know it's a different skill set than hairdressing but I also think hairdressers already charge for their skills without tipping them too.

Obviously this rule doesn't apply to those who work in hospitality.. Non tippers are all barstewards of the highest order...

A house, a very big house in the country

No. Far too expensive my needs cutting too often.

I just recently took my youngest in for an ' emergency haircut '

And I was completely baffled as to how much they charged me. Safe to say they didn't receive a tip.

I do tip a few pounds but I rarely go because it’s not an enjoyable experience.... actually I think I would rather visit the dentist

I absolutely get that, I hate having my hair messed with. My ken doll hairdresser makes it a little easier

No... I've never tipped a hairdresser.

I object to the price most want to charge as it is. I'm not paying them any more
