Perhaps not the food sales but the 'presents' side of sales is down by millions or billions, I can't remember but it was a huge amount of money.

Worked out at a whopping 4.9% - I remembered that bit.

I'm doing my best to keep the budget down but it's not easy. I don't want to spend ridiculous amounts of money but i don't want us to go without either.

I just don't get Waitrose ?? It's the same stuff as In other supermarkets but 3 times the price . Who shops there in their right mind ??

That's what i keep telling the good lady but she won't hear of it. I used to work in a vegetable packing plant, in order of quality in went thus: Sainsbury, Tesco, Waitrose, Asda. Thought you might like to know.

That's like booths up here...same product, one and a half times the price..the only discernible difference it's displayed on some straw in a wicker basket or in and olde worlde wooden crate lined with some old coffee sack or some such crap

Fools and their money are easily parted, especially if you can have them believe their in a classier shop. It's just marketing..pandering to people's ideas of better..smoke and mirrors

They price match on brands but couldn't agree more on their own stuff. Too expensive.
