"hahaha it is an art form. What has she done?"

Just the general “don’t you do housework?” Well yes I do, but the two days I’ve had to do it I’ve been running around like a blue arsed fly sorting out Christmas and children. Humph! Lol!

I shouldn’t complain as she does a lot for me and the boys but I’ve bitten back this morning. It’s my bloody house!

Oh I dunno, I don't think they do it deliberately, for every little grumble or dig I get from my mum I just think how my life would be without her and that's enough to make me just ignore them completely, even if they miff me slightly at the time ...

I know, and I honestly feel awful for thinking it but it’s made me feel like some useless teenager! Lol

That's what mums are for. I still go to take my children's hands, when we cross the road, and they are in their 30s.

I have mine a spade once from the garden shed.

She said “what’s that for”

I replied “your grave you will be digging if you carry on talking to me like a child”

She apologised, I accepted never had a problem since!

I think she knows she’s pissed me off as I don’t usually snap back! Had the veiled comments about my weight last night Thanks Mum, I’m fully aware I’m seriously overweight, being reminded of the fact doesn’t make me want to lose weight! Oh well, time to drop her back home then I can ignore the housework a bit more and eat chocolate

My Nan keeps saying this and she is nearly 94, it is sad but my take on it is to detail all the reasons why she is/ should be here

Ah that's nothing, Mr Ruggers gets told to go to bed at 10 O'clock when his mum stays over and then has that weird mum thing going on where she can see out of the back of her head because when I was stood behind her pointing and laughing at Mr Ruggers being told to go to bed she said " and you can go too"

She also tells me that he needs a haircut as if he can't decide that for himself. She also said he was "disobedient" because he didn't come in straight away for his dinner when he was busy in the garden

I feel your pain. Went to see mine last weekend. She sad she needed stamps for her Christmas cards. So I went out in a storm, it was pissing down, to get her some. Sunday in a seaside town, limited options for stamp purchasing I discovered. Add to this child having a tantrum, wheel falling off my pull along suitcase and the wind trying to blow the lot of us into the sea...

Got her the stamps, headed back up hill with wonky suitcase, wind lashed child etc etc. Gave her the stamps and the response was "oh you could have got me Christmas ones!"

Bless.

I nearly panned her head in.

Love that! Maybe they are taking your hand because they think you're the one that needs help.

Hehehe!! Just makes me determined to not be like my mum in older years but she’s been saying for years she doesn’t want to turn into my Nan, so I’ve really got no hope!
