I have a very rare night off so iv been looking at the clubs, VA and Eurekas both have events on, as a single female who's never been to a club, I really want to go but feel like I need someone to take me under their wing or should I just bite the bullet and go for it? |

Just bite the bullet 
I've only ever heard good things about the clubs.
Phone the clubs beforehand, and train it through with them, and ask what to expect.
Go in with no preconceptions, and make yourself known to the staff at the door and behind the bar.
Explain it's your first visit and ask for a tour of the facilities (they should do this anyway) and let them take you under their wings
