I have quite a few friends who are swingers and we socialise together, dinner, clubbing, socials......however we don't play. None of us that socialise play together.
The weekend there saw me attend a club and 2 socials where I was met with an awful attitude and questioning of "well of course you play...why wouldn't you?" "How can you be friends if you aren't fucking?" Comments of "How odd that you can be friends and see each other naked and not do anything ".
Is it just me or has swinging resorted to trying to find the one thing we find attractive about an individual in order to have sex with them? Why can't you be friends with swingers and there be no sexual activity?
Anyone else get such things?? |

I have made friends on here that I have played with and some who I talk to on a daily basis that I never have been intimate with.
There’s a mix of people on here and you’ll connection with them for many different reasons.
I think the notion of finding it weird you don’t play with all your friends is....weird |

Surely you only ‘fuck’ with people you’re attracted to? I think once moved onto a friendship level my whole attitude to the sex side would change.
Pretty sure I could still give a friend oral though... |

I've been to a club a few times now. Sat there and talked to a few friends i don't do anything with. I don't fuck everyone who gives me a coffee.
I meet up for socials with people who I only ever chat to, I don't see why I would only associate with those I have sex with.

I've had similar experiences in the past and it's quite sad that people believe because you're interested in the same things and seen each other naked then you obviously have to have am intimate relationship.
What's wrong with just enjoying people's company and being naked and relaxed? |

I've never had people shocked that we didn't play, but I've had people ask if we do. I have a few good friends that I've met from here and never done anything with, just like those away from here. It doesn't matter how I met them, over time they've become good friends just like anyone else I've met elsewhere.
Just because we're all on the scene and friends doesn't mean you need to be fucking each other. I've been to clubs where I've seen father and son or sisters, people didn't ask the father and son whether they did but did ask the sisters |

Tell them to mind their own sodding business!! I've a regular group of swing friends I socialise with too and don't play with them... In fact I try to keep my social swing life and play swing life separate if I can. Its too awkward if you end up at an event where there are a few people you've played with present who are hoping for the opportunity to play again... I'm not going to choose and make someone feel bad |

That is precisely how I feel. If I want to play with them I would. They're really good friends and it's just developed that way and I wouldnt want to change it for all the tea in China.

I have several male friends who I've got to know through here, we met for a social had a great time, but there was no 'chemistry'
We still meet for coffee, go out for a drink, been to the spa on several occasions, even been shopping with one to help him choose birthday presents for a very lovely lady.
I find it odd, other people assume you can't be friends with the opposite sex without sex being involved.

Personally, I think the people that have the view ‘if we see each naked we must fuck each other’ are the ones that are not real swingers but more the people that are just after a fuck. That’s so different to swinging.
I have many amazing friends on here and we regularly get together for social drinks and weekends away, meet at clubs etc. I wouldn’t be without them and I don’t feel the need to fuck them to stay friends with them!
Swinging is a fun, social lifestyle. The more social ones are definitely the best in my opinion |

As you know my lovely we have a bit of everything in the swinging world.
Swinging friends (who we don't play with)
Swinging friends (who we play with)
People we have sex with. Usually just the once since we generally have good taste in people! X |

Hahah that was very eloquently put and yes I know exactly what you mean!
There are very few who I would say I would repeatedly meet. Made some wonderful friends though and have some great ones I want to play with x |

I have made some very dear friends via this scene. I don't have sex with them. Why would I? I wouldn't have sex with friends I may have made outside the scene... |

Some people seem to have such rigid views on swinging.
There are no rules, therefore what you do and how you do it is right if it works for you. And no one else's business. |

It doesn't matter what others think if you enjoy your friendship that is what counts, nothing more.
We all get something different out of swinging for some it is all about the fucking, for others, it is about friendship and the social side of life. |

Ads and I made the decision not to ever meet anyone on a sexual level on here or elsewhere a very long time ago, however we would meet anyone to go on socials with etc because it would be nice to meet likeminded people to be honest!
I know this is a swing site but I don't see any problems with it also being a friendship site too (it's not a dating site either but here are Ads and I two years later!)
