It's not for me but thought it was fascinating and it raises some interesting questions.
Is it cheating?

Its weird and I've not watched the programme but i don't see how its cheating. Is it not just a sex toy? |

Personally I think there is the potential to screw up (pardon the pun) a lot of people,if it goes the same way like porn or becomes isolating - needs a level of psychological and emotional maturity and education to handle this stuff |

At the moment, yes, but they're becoming increasingly sophisticated having lifelike facial movements and computer programmes that allow them to be interactive. One guy comparing his doll to his wife said it was the epitome of beauty and he'd much rather have sex with it than with her.
At some point it will be considered cheating as we get nearer to the 'Rachaels' of Blade Runner. The technology of A.I is still science fiction but i'm sure it will happen.  |
