Thought Arsenal were unlucky. Played the better football but Man U did what the game is all about. In the back of the net.

The goalie was outstanding too

Excellent game.

Hope arsenal have a decent season - that's been my favourite game this season just for the entertainment.

I can't believe we lost! Such a great game with a deserved red card. I thought we were unlucky, but the defence were half asleep for the first 10 minutes.

Well we played crap. Scored three goals and only won the game because we had De Gea in goal. Arsenal was all over us. De Gea should have been named man of the match in my opinion.

On the bright side we got three points.

I wouldn’t say unlucky, they defended badly and were wasteful in front of goal, De Gea played well but that’s what he’s paid to do.

Yeah but unfortunately everybody can’t support their local team, I grew up in an area in Ireland where there was no professional clubs. Lol, the amount of times I’ve heard gloryhunter, Liverpool not Utd were the dominant club when I was growing up. Of course there’s clubs nearer, but growing up as a kid in Ireland you watched English soccer. What’s the problem with that? Can you not support a club unless you live a certain distance from their ground ??

I watched my local club every week when I was there, I still go and watch them when I go back to Ireland, but you can’t compare both. I would say less than 10% of kids in Ireland follow their local teams. The reason the premier league is 1 of the richest in the world is because of its fan base worldwide

I thought they were better than usual.

Apart from the 1st 10 minutes when they just weren't on it, they played excellently...and de gea made 14 saves...

Great game...both sides contributed to making it what it was.

There is definately something that is latent gay about guys (supporters) who wear a shirt with another guys name on the back of it.

Having the name on the back of a shirt coupled with a team that begins with Arse and a managers name who begins with Arse it is only logical that Arsenal fans are all at least latent gay.

Nothing wrong with that of course however surely it would be better if the team wore tight pink vests and tight high cut shorts and all had moustaches.

To jump on the plastic fan argument I'd say I have huge respect for the likes of bury, Rochdale, Oldham etc.

Without these few thousand following there local team these clubs would be gone.

I'm afraid I have zero respect (football wise) for the tourists that follow clubs they have zero affiliation with.

I’ve got no problem supporting your local club and I agree these clubs wouldn’t survive without local support. Growing up as a child in Ireland everyone watched English or Scottish football as that’s what was on tv, league of Ireland football was not televised I live in London but I travel to approx 10-15 Utd games per season, I also attend most of their away games in London. I was at Watford on Tuesday and Arsenal yesterday, I attend a football match most weekends not just premier league, I’ve been to Leyton Orient, Barnet, Enfield town. Premier league teams couldn’t survive like they do without ‘tourist fans’, do you think Bournemouth( or any club) would be willing to give up their share of overseas tv rights because it comes from ‘tourist fans’. If clubs were expected to survive on gate receipts alone then I’m afraid Bournemouth would struggle as they have the smallest stadium capacity in the league.

I rarely go to Cardiff games now, got other Saturday commitments and I find it's too expensive.

I much prefer lower league football and I know I won't be able to afford Premier League prices if that's where this season's journey takes us.

I'd go and pay my money to Merthyr if I lived closer as I know how desperate they are for funds and every bit adds up.

I bet you have some old grounds on that list of 80 that are sadly now houses or shops.

Funny you mention watching lower league football.. I fooking hate the premier league with a passion full of people the think football was invented when the premier league started and they can stick sky up their area while they are at it.

I work with many Cardiff fans that stopped going when you left ninian park.. and yes done yours, somerton and the vetch before they were bulldozed, all very dodgy back in the day.

Another cockney red supporter who thought Jose would play his 6 3 1 formation and hope to nick something on the break.Arsenal pissed all over us won all the stats that now exist in modern football except the most important one how many goals you score and how many you conced. We only won because Arsenal were asleep the first 10 minutes and David De Gea is probably the best goalkeeper in the world best game of football I have seen in a long while.

You mean “Roy Keane”, the prawn sandwich brigade is what he labelled the fans in corporate hospitality, but where did he think his high wages were coming from. ??

. Roy Keane said a lot of things 100 %

agree with you on the prawn sandwich brigade and his wages. However for me he will always be the man who gave everything for Man Utd the performance he put in 99 against Juventus after getting booked and knowing he would miss the champions league final was amazing.

Support who the hell you want and ignore any grief from others. Having a go at others for being 'plastic supportes' on here is a bit pathetic in my opinion.

Bravo. Football has changed, there's now so much live football on TV now you can watch any team. Obviously back in the day, with no games on TV you'd go watch your local team, not like that anymore.

I get so tired reading this boring argument on the internet all the time. What impact does it have on anyone else if another person supports a different team. Get a life.

Arsenal just got kicked up the arse again today and got thrashed by Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup...

Nottingham Forest 4 - 2 Arsenal

So Arsenal out of the FA Cup and Forest though to the next round.

I'm a Forest fan, my ex is Arsenal

Oh the joy in my house right now!

Just need BHA (my adopted team since moving here 20yrs ago) to thrash Palace tonight & I'll be dancing on the bar!

Well I'd love to be witness to that (the dancing on the bar) will it be scantily clad provocative style dancing?

Keeping my fingers crossed for a BHA win tonight.

Derby would have had a better chance it seems against Arsenal than Manchester united in the FA cup qualifiers, we,ve been unlucky to get drawn with them for the last few years, but it took united 85 minutes to break derby (with their big priced players)oh well birmingham on saturday..

. As a Utd supporter I don't mind admitting I was a bit worried about Derby as they are playing well in the Championship like Bristol City who knocked us out of the League Cup we played well on the night but left it late. Thanks to Rio Ferdinand for pulling Yeovil out of the bag for the 4th.

. I agree I think in those circumstances leave the manager alone speak to his assistant manager or the captain. With regards to Arsenal the problems have been obvious for about 5 years 2 good defenders to go straight into the team and 2 good defensive midfielders one straight into the team the other as back up or play both in a game where the opponents attack is better than yours.
