i listen to the libertines and i often think that they should be seen as one of the truly great british bands but they just seemed to implode at the wrong times which means in many eyes they never will be.

who in your eyes, in any aspect, just never stood up when it counted, never matched the potential?

we are sure there will be a fab meet in there somewhere

York

The Fratellis, I got into them before they released their first album and they had massive potential, one of the stand out groups in that britpop/indie revival in the mid 2000's! Then the first album went huge in 2006 and I saw them live twice, but after that they just fizzled out and pretty much vanished without a trace.

Bloc Party for me never quite built on that utterly stunning debut album. Although Flux was a glimpse into what they could have been.
