"Tons of guys lie about their Hight on here so a filter would only filter out the people who are honest about their Hight.
"
There’s no point lying about height on here, the lie kind of becomes obvious if you meet lol |

Most filters a pretty much useless here. You're relying on those filling in the data fields being truthful.
There will always be people who will bend the reality in order to fit someone else's desires, even if it means they end up looking like a bit of a twonk when they get called out on it. |

No, no, no it isn't…grrr….
Speaking generally as a tall woman who loves wearing heels its just such a gorgeous feeling to be next to a man & still feel small. Please have some sympathy….I've craved this all my life only to find gorgeous tall men all love short women…boo hoo for me |

I agree but I know a few women that have told me they meet a guy and he is obviously a lot shorter than his profile says.
I personally think that there should be lots of filters you everyone can filter out anyone that are not looking.
That way the more fussy the less profiles you will see and the more open minded the more opportunities you will have to meet people.
There are tons of profiles saying they are only looking for people of a certain height, race, penis size, body shape etc if people could filter then it might make them realise they are not likely to get a meet with anyone because they have filtered most people out. |

Better to add a maximum weight filter and a BMI filter too, height is what it is but the amount of photos of peeps that are taking at "flattering" angles and the person describing themselves as average body type is shocking. |

I was going to say something similar. Where do we draw the line when we start to genetically modify our ideal meet?

Ordinarily I would have agreed with you as I’m 5’7 and love wearing very high heels so would always want over 6ft....
However I have met some very sexy men at my height

"A height filter would be first on my list to add to the search options followed by body type, You have to put them on your profile so why not add them to the search "
Height and dress size would be great additions to the search options. Yes some people will tell porkies but the majority would be honest. |

Mrs F wears 6in heels and I can wear platforms so we will now change our height on profile. All is ok though as we will never take our shoes off. Hope being taller will enhance our already lovely persona and get even more meets |

Height filter would be great as I like women under 5'7", but that would be useless unless accompanied with a body type and weight filter as I also like my woman of all shapes, slim or curvy etc just not grossly overweight types. |

Would love a height filter; purely a personal thing in that I'm really not into guys who are shorter than me.
Is height a reasonable reason for refusing someone? To me, yes, because there has to be physical attraction. Might I miss out on an incredible experience as a result? Possibly, but I'm not looking for my soul mate, so I'm fine with that. |

Actually you can. You can add to it. Not sure if it’s possible to take away from your height other than with age.
Besides. Not everyone would want to change their weight.
Not liking someone because of their height is no different to not liking someone because of their weight.
Why is it acceptable to say “I don’t like short guys”
But not acceptable to say “I don’t like fat women”? |

No. You can have surgery. It involves breaking your legs and having them stretched so it’s not for the faint hearted. |

I can vouch it isn't.
My son had surgery last Dec, he has hemiplegia & his left leg was 7cm shorter than his right.
It's now only a 2cm difference.
5months before he could weight bare, the rehab & physio was intense and still ongoing.
He's the bravest person I know. |

I take it as a given some men have a strange mental block about their true height. I have male friends who are convinced they are taller than me, and even after standing back to back to prove we are the same height they won't have it!
And on sites like this I have found it's the same.I usually subtract a couple of inches from any claimed height. It generally proves to be more accurate.
I have been out with guys shorter than me (I'm 5 foot 7) so it's not a deal breaker but I do prefer taller men.

Same problem here, manufacturers assume tall goes with fat so you get a shirt where the sleeves are long enough but it fits you like a marquee |

I used to want it done when I was younger, I saw it on a documentary about young women doing it to meet the height requirements for air hostesses.
These days I’m still not happy but realise I’m not that short and longer legs wouldn’t make much of a difference in my life. Now longer legs and a longer body, I’d be down for haha.
I hope your son is recovering well |

I don't think it is acceptable generally speaking, just on here where fat women have the upper hand in comparison to the real world where life is just as desperate for them as it is for a lot of the men on here.
Filters are good in theory but in practice they would be hard to rely on.

I'd be more than happy with a height filter...also a weight filter, and any other filter you want to add. People have preferences. Shallow...possibly...but this is sex. We don't meet much because honestly, I have an issue with finding most men attractive. They must be taller than me, but otherwise, it's a personality thing. As for women, I prefer shorter women with some weight on them. Filters, as much as they would limit my choices, would also help me sort through people I'm more likely to be attracted to and isn't that the whole point of casual sex? |

Like everything else they would just be a guide. I think we underestimate the majority of people. Most would be honest.
You can already block based on age, so why not height?
Surely it would be a better experience for everyone. |

Completely missed the point of my post.
The point was you can change your height. Someone said you couldn’t. Well you can.
At NO point did I say people should or have to change their height in the same way people don’t have to change their weight.
But way to completely twist my words |

No. You can have surgery. It involves breaking your legs and having them stretched so it’s not for the faint hearted.
So the your solution for people being too shirt is for then to have some pretty intense surgery??
And yet earlier on said that not everyone would want to change their weight, well I'm pretty sure not everyone would want to change their height either.
OMG…this has got way out of hand…is it not ok to have a preference for taller guys!?!"
I didn’t say it wasn’t. What I said was if people can have a preference for taller guys and that be perfectly acceptable. Then people having a preference when it comes to weight should be acceptable too.
I don’t care who someone likes or doesn’t to be honest. But there are people who think preference for height is fine but for weight isn’t. And personally i don’t think you can have it both ways. |

"How about have an overweight filter too?
Same thing essentially.
No, no, no it isn't…grrr….
Speaking generally as a tall woman who loves wearing heels its just such a gorgeous feeling to be next to a man & still feel small. Please have some sympathy….I've craved this all my life only to find gorgeous tall men all love short women…boo hoo for me
I feel your pain honey. I like to feel small next to a man too
Same here
No it's not the same, people can't change their height
Actually you can. You can add to it. Not sure if it’s possible to take away from your height other than with age.
Besides. Not everyone would want to change their weight.
Not liking someone because of their height is no different to not liking someone because of their weight.
Why is it acceptable to say “I don’t like short guys”

The ability or not to change your height or weight is irrelevant. We can search on ethnicity, so why not height and dress size?

I've had men lie about their height, I've turned up, realised and said goodbye. I won't fuck someone I'm not sexually attracted to and I can't stand liars
"Tons of guys lie about their Hight on here so a filter would only filter out the people who are honest about their Hight.

Ive honestly never thought about it. I never check a man's height on his profile either.
I guess being on the short side myself it's never really mattered-Ive never met a man shorter than me. |

"Better to add a maximum weight filter and a BMI filter too, height is what it is but the amount of photos of peeps that are taking at "flattering" angles and the person describing themselves as average body type is shocking."
Most muscular people have a high bmi just like us short chubby people do, it wouldn't really help! People just need to describe themselves on their profile and take honest pics........ it's the age old problem with the descriptive term 'athletic build' a gymnast is an athlete as is a shot putter but both will be very different builds

At 5ft 2.5" it's never been a problem for me either but I can see why it would annoy people if someone's added a few inches to their height on profile |

My last vanilla date (2006) said she had a height stipulation on her profile, because she was tall. She agreed to meet a guy who turned out to be 5'4". She asked him why he'd lied about his height, when it would be so obvious on meeting. He said he figured she wouldn't meet him if he told the truth. Because lying is the best way to get a 2nd date, obviously. |

"What if a short person identifies as a tall person? It seems to be all the rage these days anyway "
What if an arse identifies as a nice bloke? That seems to be all the rage, too. |

I know exactly what you mean! I’m just over 5.10. I like to wear heels occasionally. I at least like a guy to match me In height. But I have played with some amazing guys who are just a tiny bit under so don’t rule it out completely.
Although I do often find it’s the guys that have the issue. My last Dom was 5.10 and he always asked me to remove my shoes before we played as I was too tall!!!!
