I seem to be getting this comment a lot lately...usually along with comments about my hair/tattoos.
I guess it would depend on your definition of wild as to if it's true or not...do you find people make assumptions (good or bad) about your character based on certain aspects of your appearance? |

People often make assumptions about me.
Again tatoo & hair related - it used to be pillar box red, until I had a bad reaction to the dye, and for my job & the sports I take part in.
It's OK.. I don't go round punching random people & my tatooes don't like judgemental arses either

Yes, they do.
They assume that I'm very formal, posh, conservative with a small c and live in an immaculate home. None of which is true.
People are frequently nervous around me when they don't know me too. Lord knows why. |

Couple years ago, my youngest son wanted to invite a school friend for tea, so I wrote a note to the child's mother & asked his teacher to pass it on.
I didn't hear from her, so after a week of my son nagging, I found who she was & approached her at the school gates.
We became good friends, but she told me initially she thought I was looked scary & aggressive & that's why she never replied.
I'm not aggressive ... Well only in the ring  |

We get this all the time as well. We generally ignore as it's normally single guys thinking that's what E wants to hear. Unless they are like us (Which is why we like you). Half of their assumptions are correct it's just the way they put it cross. |

I think we still need the ability to make snap judgements based on looks. I'm not going to stop and ask myself if the guy in dark clothing following me home at might is really a nice guy underneath the exterior. He might well be but if he's not I'm not going to hang around to find out. |

We can't like everyone but surely negativity without foundation is not the way to go

Do people make assumptions about me based on my looks? Probably most people do and get it wrong, until they actually know me that is but if looks is all that they have to go on, fair play to them.
First judgement based on looks is probably as old as humanity it's self so it's pretty normal behavior i figure
