Every place I drive, I see graffiti sprayed on road signs or on bridges etc at side of roads saying "Flat Earth" or "The Earth is Flat"
.
I know there is a new craze going around, but for these twats to spray paint road signs is the wrong way to get attention.

I remember reading an article saying that Elon Musk took a swipe at these Flat Earth believers by asking "if the Earth is flat, does that mean all the other planets are flat as well?" and their response was that they accept the other planets being round but still think the Earth is flat.
I can't believe that these people actually believe this nonsense that was disproven centuries ago. They need to wake up and realise that this is the 21th century and not the bloody dark ages |

There is a very high probability that we are all living in a simulation anyway so it’s kind of irrelevant the shape of the the potential simulated world.

I don't think in the flat earth world anyone is allowed near the edge. All those who think they went to the south pole were either mad or given drugs and brainwashed into thinking they had...
Why would anyone assume that the South is at the bottom and North the top? To establish which way up the planet globe is you need to know which way is up in the universe...

I think a lot of people are getting overly worked up about the flat earthers.
My understanding of 'them' is this:
There is a tiny handful of nutjob, conspirastist types who do actually believe it.
Then another group, who's main gist is two fold. 1 is fun. The 2nd is trying to push an ethos of keeping an inquisitive and questioning mind. The type of mind that Darwin and Newton had.
I don't subscribe to any of the conspiracy theories. But in a world full of fake news and people accepting spoon fed information, whilst having a declining self reliance, the flat earther principle of telling you to think for yourself, isn't a bad thing. |

Why would anyone assume that the South is at the bottom and North the top? To establish which way up the planet globe is you need to know which way is up in the universe...

My understanding of 'them' is this:
There is a tiny handful of nutjob, conspirastist types who do actually believe it.
Then another group, who's main gist is two fold. 1 is fun. The 2nd is trying to push an ethos of keeping an inquisitive and questioning mind. The type of mind that Darwin and Newton had.
I don't subscribe to any of the conspiracy theories. But in a world full of fake news and people accepting spoon fed information, whilst having a declining self reliance, the flat earther principle of telling you to think for yourself, isn't a bad thing."

Also unless you happen to be an astronaut, you can't win an argument against a flat earther because like us, they're merely stating what they've been told too.
Plus even if you were, you'd just be labelled as a part of the conspiracy! |
