Hello all.
Bit of an embarrassing one here and it’s something I should of tackled a while ago really, it’s not my first time after all.
So what I want to know is, prior to the main event, when do you get it up and how long is it up for after?
I don’t really need anyone’s help to get it up, that I can do alone, unlike my dad bless him but he’s old so needs a bit of help getting his up.
So When should I put my Christmas tree up?

Make sure you measure it first before you get it up to make sure it fits.
Have a look around to see if anyone else has got theirs up yet, always good to join the party midway and don’t leave it too early as it only cums once a year.
When you’ve got it up it’s nice to give it trim to make it presentable, but not too much cause then it will look a bit bare. Don’t over decorate it, you’ll make it sag.
When it’s all over it’s good to clean up after yourself and not leave it to the other half or even worse your parents! |

"I nearly spat my tea across the room!!!
As late as possible "
I was having a glass of wine when I got to the dad line. There may have been dribbling!
In answer to your question, I'll probably put mine up in two weeks and it'll be down before new year. If I didn't have a small person it wouldn't be up at all.
Bahhh humbug |

"If you get it up too soon, it might end up withering sooner than you hope, especially if it doesn't get enough attention."
I believe their are over the counter sprays and such that can help both this man and his old father maintain proud wood throughout this festive season, come Christmas eve the grandkids will still be in awe of both their proud bushy pines! |

"Once it's up does it flash on and off and do you sometimes have a fairy on it?"
The lights themselves have a few settings so I can have a flash or constant, or maybe even a jingle type effect of sorts. I have a star on mine, which I made when I was about 5. |

"Let's hope it's still looking spectacular when the sack is ready to be emptied.
Is my tree meant to come with a sack?"
No. Legend has it an old man secretly enters your house under cover of darkness, checks everyone is asleep, then steals your food and drink, and empties his sack. |
