love them both, nothing like a crisps on a crusty roll and chips on plain bread with brown sauce. Another good one is jam and cheese sandwich, raspberry jam is a must for that one.

Crisps and a wedge of Dairylea cheese in a bun, plus an apple, sometimes a little sausage roll too, that was the content of a school picnic on a long trip on a coach.

Happy days!

Salt and pepper sandwich, on very fresh white bread with a thick layer of butter, yum yum!

How about sweetened condensed milk sandwich, again, on very fresh white bread, no butter this time. This was one of my childhood comfort foods, and I still like it from time to time.

"Chip butty all the way, crisp butty far too dry..."

ahhh but thats what a cheese sandwich is for! especially the ones made with boring cheese. open premade sandwich, add generous layer of plain crisps, close sandwich, press down a little (enough to ensure it doesn't fall apart when eating, not so much that you get crisp crumbs) and eat.

Nothing wrong with a crisp sandwich, got to be white bread for it though...brown bread just not the same...and a splash of salad cream.

Alternativly melt some cheese in a microwave safe container and pour over the crisp is not bad but can't leave it too long or crisps loose their crunch.

I must say that these are all bring back such lovely memories, haven't had sugar sarnies since I was a kid, or banana ones, I still have a crisp sarnie occasionally and chip butties, and I love fish finger sarnies.. reminds me, I need to go get some fish fingers, just fancy a fish finger sarnie right now. I also used to have brown sauce or tomato ketchup sarnies too, but the best has gotta be marmite on fresh white baked uncut bread sliced into doorsteps...... mmmmm yum yumm!!!

The following recipe was "stolen" from a Premier league footballer (circa 1991)

1 Hollands steak and kidney pudding

1 oven bottom muffin (bap or bread roll for the uneducated)

Butter

Slice Oven bottom muffin in half and butter each half.

Place Pudding between muffin halfs, squash

Enjoy.....

mmmmmmmmmmm now whats for breakfast

The way forward is;

two slices oh warburtons medium sliced White bread with butter.

One slice of ham

one full bag of wotsits crisps

a good helping of hp brown sauce

all squashed in the bread.

I defy anyone not to like this as I feel this is possibly the best butty in the world.

I may even take this on masterchef.

Thoughts please.

Crisp sandwiches kick ass!

When I was a student I pretty much made a sandwich of everything. There is pretty much nothing that isn't improved by putting two slices of bread around it.

Things I have made a sandwich out of:

Mince Pie

Cheese Pastie

Chips AND crisps together

Corn Flakes

Sausage Rolls

and my pièce de résistance:

THE PIZZA SANDWICH!

Yes that's right, a slice of bread, a thin tomato topping, pizza base (essentially a slice of bread) and another slice of bread!

FUCK YEAH!!!
