Reality check list thread

so swinging is a interesting scene, most people have preconceptions of what will happen, expectations are high. But inevitably reality kicks in.

Here are a few observations please feel free to add more:

- The odds are against men always

- Women rule, they have the power

- Life will get in the way

- It is not an orgy

- Swinging is not tinder

- Sex is never guaranteed

- Trust is a two way street

- Flirting is not automatically an excuse to flash your dick

- FWB can end in tears

- Love can happen

- Jealousy can happen

- A penis does not have a personality

- Men are more self conscious of their bodies then women

- Your Ego must be resiliant

- Faces are important

- Being social helps

- This is not dating, but it helps

- It is not prostitution

- People can be mean

- Preference is okay

- Racial prejudice as Preference is not okay

- Being polite and respectful works!

- Being Crass and rude does not work

- Pushy people, get pushed away

- Desperation is defeat

- Mutual Respect is important

- Verify or die!

- Fantasy usually beats reality.

- Cliques are everywhere, be a butterfly

- Its okay to be a BBW

- Not okay to be a BBM (see self conscious)

- BBC crosses all boundaries

- Judging books by covers

- Pic hunting is sad

- A simple no thanks is better than no response

- Being Dominant is not the same as being a twat (see respect)

People might say one thing, but they mean the complete opposite.

Swinging isn't as open as one might think it should be.

No matter how unattractive you might 'think' you are, someone probably wants to drag you to their bed.

Totally agree with the OP. This isn’t Nirvana, just another opportunity. Enjoy whatever you get, even if it is just chatting on the forums. If something more happens then great but don’t lose tour rag if it doesn’t, there isn’t an automatic entitlement just for signing up!

If this site could provide sex every other day then it would be worth a fortune but that’s not the way it works. However, half the forum threads are complaining it doesn’t or every other perceived wrong. Let’s face it, if there were fewer arguments there may well be more meets!

I’m sorry if I’m on a rant, especially as a newcomer. However. This is essentially a cooperative - there isn’t anyone out there making a fortune out of us, it’s not Amazon.

The success or otherwise if this site surely depends on how we all behave to each other. I’ll repeat what I’ve said before, as a newcomer the best experience I’ve had was when a highly attractive local lady replied to my message to say sorry she wasn’t interested but good luck. It may have been a disappointment but it was a very pleasant way of doing it. More of that attitude would make this place a much less antagonistic site for everyone to enjoy and experience

The average person or couple that doesnt get a second look in reality suddenly becomes the biggest ego junkie as they think the suck up comments are true and not just to ride them like a hire bike and disappear
